Thanks! I didn't realize how inexpensive crockpots and/or toaster ovens could be. I'll have to look into (and hopefully get) one or both. That'd open a lot of options to me

Great! I'll try that for sure

I do eat humus. Any suggestions for quick meals with hummus would be great! I currently have hummus with pita (bread or chips) and don't quite know what else to do with it

My diet currently is pretty restrictive (and parts of it have always been that way). I eat a lot of bread and crackers with peanutbutter, pasta (when I can make it, I haven't quite mastered making it in the microwave unless it's a frozen meal or one of those 'just add water' ones), junky food (ex: fruit snacks, chips,…

Thanks :) it sounds like a crockpot would be a good investment and I didn't realize they came as cheaply as they do. Maybe I'll try a recipe similar to that, but with vegetarian protein (someone else suggested trying to add in small portions of foods I have sensory issues with so maybe that'd be a good place to mask it?)

Thank you so much! I'll look into a dehydrater because often softness or wetness is a problem (why I can't stand tofu). I'll also try that mixing technique you described. I think others in my family don't have the sensory issue so I'm often hit with the 'just eat it' response. It's so nice to hear from someone who…

I'd like to lose some, but I've been maintaining and am trying to focus more on being balanced then any weight right now. I do eat eggs, I'll try the microwaved poached egg with english muffin. That's great! Thank you

Thank you. I'll do that sometime (when I have some time...college is very good at sucking up time)
-
Thank you, that's really helpful. I'll do that

Thank you. I'm not purposely staying in the range of 1300-1600, that's just what it averages out to. How much should I be eating instead then? Also, how can I increase my calories without just eating a lot of cake/cupcakes/sweets? I'm not a big fan of nuts (except peanuts).

Both, really. I think they don't count them because they 'aren't food' in their opinions, I'm not really following the logic on that. Maybe I wasn't clear about some of that. When I said 'lost accidentally because of depression' I mean I lost it because I got very depressed. Yes, I was under eating, but it was because I…

Happy to provide it if you ask what info you'd like

They think I under eat because if I eat a luna bar it 'doesn't count' and neither do chips/cookies. Also, they only see what I eat at home (I'm a student and often eat lunch at school during the week) or around them. They never believe I eat when they aren't around (I don't know why). I did lose a few lbs (by accident) due…

That's what most people's reactions are. I hope to work on toning more eventually, but right now it's just looking at eating enough. In order to tone I would need more support and guidance that I don't have currently (and can't get because of my family's concern for my slight frame)

Any chance of going to a doctor and getting an evaluation done? Maybe make a deal with your family that all of you (yourself included) accept what the doctor says and move on? So if the doctor does say you are underweight, you agree to do something about it and if the doctor agrees you are a healthy weight, they agree to…

Thank you! I'll look into those links for sure :)

I think it depends on where you are in your journey. As someone who is already fairly active and my goal would be higher intensity cardio and increasing muscle I'm more inclined to go with someone who is in good shape because I would feel like they could really give me what I was looking for. However, my sister (for…

Thanks guys! Think I'll look into the options for at home before I go the gym route. I'm pretty non-muscular right now so maybe starting with just my body weight will be good (and if not then I'll look into some of the weight options people gave). Thanks again for all the advice, I feel like I actually have a direction…

For me, personally, this burns about 125-130 calories. I'm pretty tiny, but I doubt it'd really burn much more for someone heavier than me. I don't know your stats, but I'd guess it didn't burn more than 150-170 calories, if that

I'm 5'4 and haven't weighed super recently so I'm not entirely sure how much I weigh

I'm at school during the day three days a week and go out on the weekends and that's very helpful. I'll talk to my parents about a fridge for perishables 'cause that's a good idea. I used to have one about 5 years ago at boarding school and it was very useful then. Maybe we can either dig it up or get another inexpensive…

Not at the moment. It's something I'm trying to work towards (hopefully within the next 12-18 months)
-
I'm gonna try these things. That sounds like it'd be really helpful for me (especially the freezer to microwave to fridge stuff)

You look great! I don't have before/after for halloween (haven't really dressed up in 6 or so years and that'd be a teenage picture that was before I even knew what I calorie was lol)

I understand it's frustrating when you can't do the exercise you love the most. You mention strength training, which I'll be the first to say isn't my specialty by any extent. But would it maybe be possible to continue to do strength training once a week for, say 30 minutes? There are a lot of muscles in the body and maybe…
