I have coffee syrups to add to my black coffee or low cal hot choc drinks on hand, which I find really helps with the cravings especially if I'm feeling cold and ughhhh with it too. They don't eat too much into my calorie allowance either.

If it's a 750gm packet, then I would read that as frozen weight. 125gms is 173 cals (1 of 6 servings of 125gms) then 1gm is equal to 1.384, 138cals for 100gms frozen weight. Added to that, how would you know how many to cook, if you only weigh them afterwards.

I was not being rude in anyway shape or form. It was a genuine question. In my view, using diet chef for a period of time is one approach to calorie counting. Stopping that and having to plan and cook your own calorie counted meals is something different which you will take time and effort to get right. Why not do that…

Just curious, but do you plan to be catered for by diet chef for the rest of your days? How much alcohol affects your weight loss will be the least of your problems if you have to start all over again managing your own meals, if catered meals ever have to stop for whatever reason.

We eat the same meals, food and snacks. I just eat less than hubby does. Thats the way it has to be to keep me at my maintenance. If I want it I eat it, I just count the calories and never deny myself any thing, just because it might be high calorie or unhealthy if it fits my daily goal I have it.

5'8 SW was 256 GW 147... Achieved GW about 4 months ago and maintained since on about 1650 cals daily. Went from UK size 22/24 to a UK size 10 and I feel fabulous :) so to everyone at the start of thier journey, good luck, you will not regret making this change to your life.

Don't forget the free wheeling on a real cycle, coasting along down a slope. Not an option on an indoor bike.

Thanks everyone, I did just add a small amount of apple juice calories in the end. I think sometimes I over complicate things when I don't need too.

Using my elliptical helped me to tone my body as it got smaller as I calorie counted, and it helped me achieve a nicer leaner shape, but muscles, no.
