That is dangerous! Birthday cake is the best, but the red velvet ones aren't bad. I just can't bring myself to try the cherry.
-
The ON cake bites? So good.

A few months ago some dudes at my gym were snacking away on a box of Thin Mints between DL sets. I loved it! I wanted to be their friends, but didn't think I was cool enough.
-
Wow - just amazing!!
-
Yes, for sure! You're looking all hour glassy - very nice!
-
Be very afraid.

Google "Dirty Muscle." Exactly how much can you take?
-
Where did you get this number? If you got it from MFP, remember that you need to eat back exercise calories (I think most people who use the MFP calculations eat back at least half of their exercise calories as opposed to all because the exercise calories can be inflated). Here is another calculator you can use that…

I did miss that, thank you. I'm 5'6" and 129 lbs (fine, 130 due to a few too many drinks and snacks on Monday) and I think I'm around 20% body fat. I'm at the tail end of a cut, going for another 4 lbs or so to get under that 20%. Maybe it comes down to a personal decision, because either would work, but one way would be…
-
This is what I was thinking. What went into your decision to recomp as opposed to cut?
-
I think I'm almost done with my cut-a few more vanity (bathing suit) lbs to go.
-
Oh no, I know you both wanted to avoid those things if at all possible.
-
I had the cheddar ones the other day and they were completely disgusting. But chips or popcorn is a good idea. I second the yogurt suggestion.
-
@TresaAswegan Wow, amazing shape! Those quads....
-
Meh, not that great. 40 calories and they taste like it. Bummer.
-
You're so welcome - good luck!

I really hate to throw even more information out there with all you have to digest, but the bolded above made me think of this article. Just two alternating full body workouts. He says that, although squats are preferred, you can sub leg press if needed.…

That's great!! He used to answer ALL the emails and community board questions himself several years ago, but they've just gotten too busy over the past year or so. I love that he's doing some live Q & A's himself still. He's got lots of podcasts too, if you all are interested.

Oh, also, if you're tired of eating in a deficit, which it sounds like you are, you can always take a diet break. Eat at maintenance for a month or so and then go back into your deficit and attack it with renewed gusto!
-
Don't forget to eat food that's mentally satisfying to you. I can eat a bunch of food that I didn't really like and because I wasn't satisfied mentally, I'm still going to feel like eating more.
-
You could do what's called a reverse diet and every week go up in calories by about 100-150. When you start gaining weight, stop, dial it back a few calories, and there is your maintenance. Some people actually see a couple more lbs drop off when they start reverse dieting. ETA; oops, quoted wrong post, sorry!

Weigh out a serving and track it every time you eat some. That'll be a big wake up call.
-
OH. MY. LORD!!! Yes, why has no one told me about these???? ETA: wait, I just read the nutritional stats. Not impressed, but I will still try them if I see them.
-
Oh my gosh, yes, stop making yourself crazy. Weigh the food, pack it, eat it. Then there is no more guessing and uncertainty. Right now you need to keep things as simple as possible.

Happy 1st birthday to my sweet girl, Reggie (not as sah-weeet as those puppies above

Right :) Although, I've learned from all the great peeps here on MFP that the higher rep range for ladies is unnecessary. One of the reasons he states for this change is because the ladies...they get intimidated by starting off with lower reps/high weights, apparently. There was another scientific reason he states, but I…

I would definitely recommend packing your own food just to be sure. I would never suggest this normally because it's extreme, but since you need to lose for health reasons, you could also bring your scale with you if you want to eat the restaurant food. My friend has Hashimoto's and even on "the right" meds has such a…

That was great. In my profile pics I'm 15.1% body fat according to a bod pod, but I think I'm probably not quite that low (I'm 5'6" and I was at 120 lbs). That was last summer. I remember feeling really great about myself and I was so in the zone that I didn't feel deprived and it didn't seem that hard to get there. Then I…

Lower reps in BLS, but 8-10 is TLS. Then there is Beyond BLS, which brings in periodization.
-
Thanks. I've been running programs from TLS for three years (with a recent blip up an upper/lower split) and I've just always had it in my head that I was focusing on one body part/day (that's how I framed it in my head even though I know that the compound moves target multiple areas), so I was having trouble understanding…
