  • Have you tried the Enlightened sea salt caramel? It's really good. They have it in pints, but I really enjoy the single serving bars - it seems bigger than just 1/4 of the pint container so I feel like I"m getting more.
  • I'm into my second cycle of ELEL. My two weeks of EMEM were glorious. I'm down 15.2 lbs. After I lose 5 more, I'll reassess. It's all going to depend on on where those 5 lbs come off of. Probably not where I need them to. Ho hum. ETA: I'm right at that place where then general population would be really happy, but I'm not…
  • I had one yesterday and it's really good!
  • Sometime this summer.
  • My husband refuses! So, after our second child I decided to call his bluff and and insist on condoms instead of having me continue to take care of the birth control. He lasted three years and I'm the one who finally gave in! Edit to change my emoji - the winky face just didn't go.
  • You mean right before a workout? Some suggestions are 1) a plain protein shake and a banana, 2) some people like to have a protein shake made with something like rice milk for the carbs/energy, 3) slice of bread with some peanut butter on it....
  • I'm 41 and still on the pill. My doc recently told me I should think about another form of birth control, but interestingly enough, it wasn't because of any health risk. She said that the pill will continue to cause monthly bleeding in women even if they start to go through menopause. She said I would have to start cycling…
  • Another Happy Scale user here, so daily! I'll log my weight weekly into MFP, though.
  • Based on the answers you got, maybe I'm not understanding your question, but I copy foods from previous dates, as I tend to eat the same things as well. Using an iPhone, you'll see three little dots to the right of "add food" under where you track your meals. Click on those dots and there is an option to "copy from date."…
  • 2 just two weeks ago. I finally found the limited edition mocha flavored and they were quite tasty. However, has anybody noticed that they are smaller now than when we were kids? I was annoyed (as I was when I realized that Thin Mint sleeves had been shorted, but the price stayed the same) and I'm not sure if I'll buy them…
  • If you drink it before your workout, make sure it's a 2-3 hours before. That's way to heavy to drink right before a workout (at least it would be for me).
  • If you soaked them overnight, on a scale of 1 (mushy) to 10 (crunchy), I'd rate them at about a 7. If you soaked them for about 3-4 hours, they'd be higher up on that scale.
  • Unless they're steel cut oats, those will run you 300 calories (or a bit more) for 1/2 cup (80 or so grams) ETA: Which really sucks because I prefer steel cut for things like overnight oats for the non-mushy texture.
  • Too much boobage will never be my problem. It was really nice having them back for a few months over the winter.
  • Checking back in with this thread. You all are amazing!
  • Yep. The first time I had one done I ate beforehand and had to come back.
  • Thank you! I saw you're planning on doing a bod pod - it was really fun and gave a lot of great information, not just body fat.
  • Hi! I've got a few pictures in my profile that you can look at. According to a bod pod, I'm 15.1% body fat in those pics. ETA: I'd LOVE to do a DXA scan!
  • One of my finest memories was when my daughter exclaimed, "Mom! You're getting a two-pack!!" Which I guess meant I had a 1 pack before. It's all progress and the changes I observe just fuels me more. I'm 5'6" I bulked up to 146 and I didn't start seeing definition again until I recently got back down to 135. I'm looking…
  • You're not THAT old - I think we can hang. I've been lifting for almost three years. For most of that time I worked a 5 day split and I just switched to an Upper Lower four day split that I like a lot. With two days of no lifting, though, I feel the pressure to do more cardio. I'm halfway through a cut, so I guess that's…
  • Meh, don't panic. It could be due to the extra calories from alcohol. If you go back to your old ways I'm sure it'll be fine ;)
  • If you're truly at 15% body fat you shouldn't cut anymore, as it could cause health issues. Where you go from here, though, would depend on your goals. If you want to build more muscle you could either recomp or bulk. And totally no judgement on the alcohol intake!! I just pointed that out because it adds calories ;)
  • ...and your alcohol intake, you said. If you've gained weight, then you've most likely been in a calorie surplus and have gained both muscle and fat. But, that's not a bad thing! There are plenty of us on here who have or who are trying to do this on purpose! If you like the way you look then enjoy!
  • I don't skip workouts when I go on vacation. I pay the guest membership for a gym (searched for ahead of time), or if there is no gym I bring videos with me to do (downloaded onto my Kindle, Youtube, or I have a mini DVD player I can use). I tend to stick to protein throughout the day and then eat whatever looks good for…
  • The thing is...you're in it now, friend! You are never going to reach that last little percentage. You're always going to want more and your goals are always going to be changing. That's goods, it keeps things exciting, but it can also be discouraging if you let it. Don't let it. Settle into it, relax, and enjoy the…
  • Edited - posted before I read the whole thread: You're doing great, but definitely listen to the advice from others!
