I like the way you cook.

Welcome home!

I I edited it off my post because it left some questions unanswered. They are still doing studies. I think it is interesting though. After thinking about it I probably should not have linked it, but you captured it before I erased it.

Congrats! Nice loss

I never realized that I had sugar issues until I suddenly cut back on sugar when starting on my first weight loss program. That is when I experienced "withdrawal-like" symptoms. When I would manage to lose a couple pounds, then my body seemed to want to refill it's glycogen reserves asap with handy candy or a quick snack.…

How are you feeling, Amelia?

I strained it. This past week was horrible. It is just now getting bearable. Thanks for asking. <3

OMAD is one meal a day which is a form of intermittent fasting. Have you watched any of Joe's videos on YouTube?

I love venison but haven't had it in a long time. :(

Thanks!

I like your weekly date and pounds lost idea. It is inspiring. Would you mind if I copied this?

This happened to me when I was "high protein" low fat. I was hungry all the time and had to eat protein every 3 hours. When I upped the fat and lowered protein to a moderate amount it worked to blunt the hunger. I hardly think about wanting it now. The freedom from that is amazing.

Share the recipe for the cauliflower tots, please? Do you bake fresh ones or would frozen work?

I've gone back to LCHF and have gotten adapted back to it. My hubby bought some blackberries. Hmmm... blackberries and cream with Stevia sprinkled on top sounds good

My splurge meal is simply eating at maintenance level that day or slightly above. I save them for times when I'm going on an outing or family get together. Joe mentioned something about a 10 day spread. That would basically be 3 a month.

If you keep it low glycemic and balance the protein, carbs, and fats you might be just fine adding a bit more starch. I have problems when it is just carb by itself or excess sugary product.

Hi Jeff! Nice going losing almost 30 pounds. You must be feeling great about that progress!

It seems like it took me forever to finally get to this point. I think I was almost there but shifting from low carb to high carb during the holidays was a mistake for me. I am just recently getting to the "comfortable" stage of not really thinking about it. I'm not getting carb cravings or hunger at this point. In…

I'm happy you are adjusting so nicely to OMAD, John. I wonder if you had been making changes positively somehow previously and so did not have such a big change coming in?

I mix the acv with a couple ounces of regular apple juice and a shot of tart apple juice all together and barely taste the acv. :)

TDEE is your maintenance level energy expenditure including activity. If you eat at this level you will maintain. So if you know this number and don't go over it you won't ever gain weight. If you eat at a deficit under TDEE you can lose weight. Subtract 500 calories from TDEE a day on average and you will lose a pound a…

I've heard that walking is very therapeutic. I plan to start as soon as I get on the mend.

Hi, thanks for asking. I threw my back out last week. It has been difficult pain-wise, but I haven't been very hungry. Actually OMAD has been fairly easy lately.
-
Did you also eat high fat? I found high protein low fat made me hungry and caused cravings. But when I upped the healthy fats like salmon, avocado, etc., then it helped.

You are still down in weight! --all about averages

BMI tells me I am in the high/normal range. But I feel "thick" because I used to be in the low/middle range. I still have that picture of my trimmer and fitter self in my head and want to get back to it. I had creeped into "overweight" 25 BMI range briefly. That wake up call did help to kick me to lose the weight to get…

That sounds good for digestion also. Coconut oil tends to settle that gnawing feeling in my stomach at night.
