I live in a Detroit suburb. Lol. 95% of the people at my gym are exceptionally nice. I get flack from a very small percentage of woman there that weight train. They can be very competitive and critical of their own bodies. Many of them have a negative attitude toward doing cardio, which they see me doing a lot of.

Congratulations! I lost 118 pounds last year myself and am also looking for friends. I would love it if you added me. Maintance is not that different from weight loss. Your just adding a few extra calories. You might want to try a Fitbit and sync it to fitness pal to measure calories in vs calories out. I just got one 3 weeks ago and synced it to my fitness pal and it is amazing! I have read they are very accurate. It is a fabulous device that helps relieve weight gain anxieties. It also emails you weekly report summaries. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I do not believe this is just a calorie counting site. If there wasn't a psychological component to eating, everyone educated on CICO would eat healthy foods within their caloric range all the time. They wouldn't need any of the motivation or support the other users of this site provide.
