  • My Move It Monday workout was a walk out in our winter wonderland! It was fun and I did another walk today. The website challenge that I most want to work on is making sure to get up and move more frequently during the day.
  • The past two days I didn't get to the gym. My burst of activity were related to spring cleaning! I also did some short stretching and other exercises though. Just need to do those things more often on days where I don't get to the gym. Hope everyone in the storms stays safe and warm!
  • I went to the gym: 20 min cycle, 20 min strength, 10 min stretching. I have also done some stretching at home, since I'm trying to do this at least twice a day. I like the idea of mini workouts, and have tried to do that before, especially if I am not going to the gym. I will also try and remember the various chair yoga…
  • Welcome! And good job with the power-walking session!
  • I am so sorry for your loss. I'm also a private person, so I understand that posting this introduction was a big step for you. But you are here, and you took this first step, so I can tell that you are serious about making a change. If you think that being part of a group working towards fitness goals, you might want to…
  • That happened to me too. Over the past 6 months I "found" the weight that I lost 2 years ago. It's a big discouraging to see the update that I've lost 3 pounds when I had lost over 25 pounds! But I'll try and learn what went wrong and make better decisions in the future. For me, the biggest thing has been what I eat. I had…
  • This happens to me from eating too much gluten. I even see it with bags under my eyes.
  • I "joined" the spring group, then promptly forgot that I joined so never submitted a starting weight or goal! But I've been popping in because I wanted to join (and actually participate in) the next challenge, so I'm looking forward to this 50 day challenge!
  • To be successful, I think the motivation needs to come from you and you alone, your desire to be healthier or to lose weight for reasons that are important to you. Mini goals can be motivating, but what happens once your birthday and vacation come and go, especially if you didn't lose as much as you wanted? I think the…
  • I'm very excited - this sounds so fun and motivating! I hope I can represent Hufflepuff well as a hard-working and loyal badger!
  • Thanks nisijam5 - I joined the group and posted in the "Introductions" section.
  • I sent a PM - if possible, I'd like to join.
  • I sent a request to join. I just started MFP today, so I'm looking for something to get me motivated for an entire month so that hopefully I stay motivated for much longer!
  • I went to a nutrition talk last night, so I'm feeling more motivated to eat better and exercise more. This app was recommended, so I'm starting today! Now for the motivation to last longer than just a few days!
