I think the trainer is wanting her to lose +20 lbs by Christmas. Not in 12 weeks.

You can't. And if you can, you're going to be miserable every second of whatever he has you do. I'd find another trainer.

Does it have you purchase anything to unlock different parts of the app?
-
Hey! I finally downloaded that app about a month ago. It's great. Even though I weigh myself daily I do forget to log it a few times here and there but it still works well.
-
Record? I write down my training in a journal. I wear a heart rate monitor watch to see how much a burn during the workout if my plan is to log it into MFP.

Running.

The only time I was told that what I was doing was obsessive/compulsive is when it truly was. After I had my daughter, I ate 1200 cals a day and went to they gym to run on the treadmill every day I could. I lost weight for sure, but also a lot of my energy, hair, color in my skin, and happiness. I'm glad that experience I…

I stretch for 10 minutes and that is usually my warm up. When lifting, I start with a couple medium heavy weights then work my way up to PR's.
-
Oh, this makes sense now! Thank you all for your input. Starting today for workout 1.

Do you mind explaining this a little more? Because for dumbbell curls, I can usually do more reps with my right arm than with my left. However, if done with a barbell, I would do both for the same amount of reps.

I like walking around the mall. Even if I'm not going to buy anything its sometimes good to window shop. Reading is a good one too. I can watch fitness YT videos without having to munch on anything.

- lose weight by eating at a deficit. Working out not necessary but it will help (plus your body will thank you for it) - Eat what you like within your limits. Don't be scared to try new foods though
-
Personally, I would go insane. Do what works for you.

I lost 13 lbs in about 3 months and it was hard work. I say set more realistic goals.

I'm 5 ft 7 in 25 yrs old Went from 153 lbs to 137 lbs after a 12 wk cut, immediately jumped up to 140lbs after reverse diet and now have maintained my weight at 140 lbs for the past 3 weeks almost. Recomping for the last two months of the year then I'll start cutting again in January. Goal is 130 lbs.

Losing half a pound A DAY? Yikes. I say eat more and lose the weight slowly. I feel that is the best way to avoid as much 'saggy' ness as possible.
-
I don't see changes in my weight (besides daily fluctuations) until 2-3 weeks pass, that's if I am consistent with my diet and gym sessions. The goal could be 2, 1, or half a pound a week loss and I still won't see them difference on the scale for some time.
-
Be patient. Weight fluctuations are a thing even if you eat at deficit consistently (yes, that means every single day!). No one at all is looking at you at the gym. No one cares about you and that's a good thing. Focusing only on calories and hitting protein is okay. You can throw out every excuse in the book but in the…

I have these thoughts during cardio. I mean, no one would know if I ended my session 5 minutes before I planned to. Seriously.. no one would care. Except.. I would know.. and when I the scale doesn't budge I will eventually care. SIGH.

I hated it at first too.. but mainly because I'd workout with my husband who was very picky about what exercises we would do and was not organized at all with it, I was incredibly shy and thought everyone was staring at me, and I didn't care about the supplement (protein shakes, pills for whatever, pre workout) part. Now,…

Watermelon and rice cakes.

I rely solely on dedication. About 75% of the time I have no motivation to do what is needed to reach my goals. I find this process is easier when I don't restrict too much. Double check your goals and your ways of reaching them and make sure it's healthy/realistic. Good luck!

I found a pretty great full body workout on the M&S site. Did the first day yesterday and loved it! Thank you all for the suggestions. This helped me jump on the full day workout train.

I'm constantly having to pull up my pants because of weight I lost during a cut and yet in my head, I have not lost anything and I look the same as I did before. Most of the time it's all mental.

My husband is the 'bro' type and comments here and there about my eating habits. I do CICO, and only focus on protein as far as macros go. If I EVER complain about my weight loss he'll be happy to remind me that the Hot Cheetos I ate the night before (ya know, the little bit that I weighed and counted for like a crazy…

IMO 10 lbs of weight loss is very challenging, but not that noticeable like 20-30 lbs would probably be. I feel your pain.

5ft7in SW: 153 lbs CW: 149 lbs GW: 145 lb - maybe 140 lbs since I'm not 100 % happy with the level of leanness I am at now Intake: 1600 cals to lose 1lbs per week. I'm cutting, and only have 2 weeks left of my cut but again, will probably extend it until I get to my desired look. Then, I'll reverse diet and will begin…

If you're doing all the right things (weighing all the food) then you just gotta wait it out.
-
I believe 1 lb a week would be healthy (others can correct me if I'm wrong). Best thing you can do is incorporate some strength training into your regimen.

Ignore them. It's crazy to me how other people decided it's perfectly okay to weigh in on your health. I weigh out my meals at work with co workers watching. The most they've done is ask what I am doing and once I explain, they say cool and move on. I'm sure they think plenty more but know it's best to keep their mouth…
