I really like this. It makes sense and you're right! A lot of the 'I weight the same' posts are from people who are already pretty lean or don't have much to lose. Not sure why I never noticed that. Someone else asked what I care about more (looks or number on scale) - it was really both. I always thought you couldn't have…
When I was young, I use to eat either white bread with butter, or white bread with ketchup. Nothing else, not even toasted. Little weirdo.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD WHO DID THIS! - everyone thinks I'm absolutely disgusting for eating ketchup with bread. My mom would leave us at home…

I would say I'm on a good lifting program. I cannot say where I found the program because for the life of me I cannot find it online anymore. I usually switch programs every 6 weeks, and am on my 2nd week with this one. Program: 1st day: Chest/Tri's (includes B press, incline DB press, Flies, Dips, Tri ext, and skull…

Honestly, this would be my first real cutting and bulking cycle. I've been on 'diets' before but it's was basically me losing some weight (not a large amount because I don't believe I'm obese or anything like that) and then gaining it back. This time is different, since I've been cutting way longer and have stuck to it.…

So eating at maintenance and lifting at the same time. Do you have time to explain why you don't think bulking is appropriate for me?

5 ft 7 in - started around 153 lbs and am now at 145 lbs. Goal is 135 lbs. I've been bigger before (back in hs) but never weighed myself. I'm guessing I was around 160-170. Hopefully you don't dismiss my advice because I am at your goal weight! Because my best advice to you is to do it slowly. Start tracking at maintenance…

I get canker sores regularly, stressed or not, and nothing has worked. Almost everyone says they need to run their course. I noticed that sometimes I get them if I eat too much 'junk' food.. but of course I can't prove that that's the cause of them. Trying the Lysine though! Haven't heard of that yet. Mine last about 2…

Definitely lift! Starting out I did one of those BB programs. The one I did was pretty long but I learned a lot about different exercises. Towards the end knew what most of them were and didn't have to look them up on line. I agree about the diet side of it. Much better to get your numbers online (I use IIFYM.COM) and…

Without supplements I find it near impossible, even with protein filled meals!

Seriously if I saw you on the street I would of never guessed you ever looked like your before picture. Great job! Hoping I one day can wear crop tops confidently.

That's awesome! Way to go

Didn't read other comments - for me when I was thinking about food 24/7 (literally every minute of the day) I was eating way below what I was supposed to. Maybe look at your numbers again? Or check out your goals. Are you trying to lose your weight too quickly?

Because you're breastfeeding, it's best to talk to you doctor.

So you don't get burned out, I would start small. Eat at a maintenance for about a week or until you are conformable logging successfully, then go to losing .5lbs a week and once the weight loss starts slowing down and you think it's time to be more aggressive go to 1lb and so on. I say this out of experience. When I had…

.5lbs a week. Anything more and I would not be doing this for longer than 2 weeks.

Yes, I 100% understand that my diet is most important. More than my exercise will ever be. But I'm asking an exercise related question which is why i posted here. I mean body weight exercises. Meaning exercises with your body without the weights. I don't want to exercise will power or my mind. After 4 years of lifting.. I…

Don't worry about fats and carbs. Look at protein and calorie intake only. Drink water. Don't force it or over do it, just drink more. Enjoy events! But continue to track. Events are not a good excuse to eat like a hippo. Eat enough veggies and fruits to make you and your body happy. Don't force it. (That's me to me btw)

What a difference! Way to go!

I don't celebrate at all. I may be proud of myself and post somewhere about reaching my goal.. but that's about it.
-
I'm so glad I found that out before making the big, useless purchase.
-
I only have two meals: Lunch and dinner. Lunch is only about 300 cals and dinner around 400? Maybe 500. The rest is alllll snacks.
-
This used to be an issue of mine as well until I switched my goal to only losing .5 lbs a week. Feels less of a 'diet' since I can still enjoy a bit of my favorite foods, everyday even!
-
No way Jose! I need all the carbs. To each their own.
-
I've been losing at .5lbs a week and this approach has worked best for me. I've been tracking for 65 days and usually, I can't do it longer than a 3 weeks. Yeah progress is slow but I enjoy my workouts, am rarely hungry (starving), and enjoy losing weight more than ever before.

I have a desk job - I just make sure to eat the perfect amount of food and exercise at least 1.5hrs 3-5 times a week. Seems to be working for me even now when all I have left to lose is 10 pounds. People gain weight because of their own choices, not because of a job change. Good luck!

Thank you all! I know a video would of been a great addition to the post but it was more packed than usual yesterday and I hate to record when others are around (because I hate to be recorded without permission). I will try to get a video when the gym is empty. Squat shoes - will have to invest in some now. I always heard…
-
Good question. I don't squat wearing shoes. Just wear socks.
-
Please don't do this. I have a lot of friends on the Advocare train and I wish I could shake them all and tell them that all they need is this neat little app and some discipline.

I get this when I go to see my mother who loves to cook for me. I don't go often, so I just enjoy her food because she's the only mother I'll ever have and it's made with love (plus her cooking is the bomb). If my husband gets treats for me I also enjoy them. Like he got me a huge bag of those Easter egg chocolates and…

Water, Almond Milk, and Bai drinks which are oh so good.
