I'm 5 ft 7 in I wear 6, 8, and sometimes 10 size pants. Currently weight 147 lbs and my goal is 140 lbs.. 135 lbs if that's what it takes to see the abs. Training routine is 10-15 minutes of cardio either steady or HIIT then 40-60 minutes of heavy lifting for at least 4x a week. I eat 1953 cals a day. The goal is to lose…

Hardest part is logging on the weekends. My husband loves to find hole in the wall restaurants to try out and I have to do a lot of guestimating.

Used to go 5-6x a week but would get so burned out. Now going 4-5x a week and feel a lot better! Also, I feel like a recover a lot better therefore feel the results coming in. My results come more from my diet.

Find a free workout plan (you can search beginner workout plan too!) online. There are tons on Bodybuilding.com. Start small/light, work your way up. Work on form as much as possible. Watch videos, ask questions, and work on it until you are close to perfecting each exercise. Form > everything. If at all possible, hire a…

I hate that someone actually made me believe that spaghetti squash was similar to the real thing so I spend my time and energy making it only to find out the next day (when I took it for lunch) that it was the worst thing I've ever had in my entire life. Actually, I hate when people say the 'healthy version' is as awesome…

The only way to get out of you 'rut' is to want it bad enough and to be disciplined. You have to rely on determination more than on motivation. If my feet hurt, I listed to my body and don't do certain exercises or go light. Good luck!

I think it's about finding what works for you. Counting cals/macros is a good tool, but plenty of other people have had success going vegan, intuitive eating, intermediate fasting, etc. I found the type of workouts I absolutely love to do (even when I fall of the wagon on my diet I still go to the gym and lift cause I love…

Wait until you only have 10 pounds to lose

Definitely not. My husband supports me 100% when it comes to my healthy lifestyle. I've had two male trainers so far and he's not said one word about me spending my time with them at the gym. Mainly cause he's super confident in himself and in our marriage. I love him and he knows that. I agree with the second comment, you…

Every 'custom' plan I've bought through Instagram peeps have been pretty worthless. I would find a good program for free on BB and go from there.

I eat 1950ish cals a day and have been losing. I only have 10 pounds to lose and have lost two pounds in the last 23 days. I prefer slow and steady. When I was eating 1200 cals I lost a lot of weight a lot faster but gained it back probably twice as fast when I went off track.

I only have 2 of what some would consider meals and everything else is snacks. If I don't eat at least every two hours I go crazy. Snacks are life!

If you have the flu, please do not go to the gym. Workout at home.

Stronglifts is a good program. I personally wouldn't know how to get through it without the gym though.. but if you're willing to buy equipment then it should work. Sorry can't really recommend equipment to you! I don't think it's unreasonable to do squats without the squat rack. However, when you start lifting a little…

This is coming from not an expert, only based on my own personal experiences and what I have learned so far. In order to gain muscle you will have to be in a calorie surplus and you will have to do some form of strength training. In order to lose fat you will have to be in a calorie deficit and yes, cardio can work very…

I wear a heart rate monitor type watch to calculate exercise cals during lifting but even that can be off.

I call what I am doing a diet because I'm doing it for a short amount of time. I'm cutting fat, then once I'm ready to start bulking I will probably go back to intuitive eating. If I decided to start counting for the rest of my life.. which is not something I want to do, then I'd consider this a lifestyle change.

9 pounds. Motivation is there, dedication is there, but not willing to be in a higher deficit to lose the weight faster. Slow and steady is fine with me!
-
Oh I am. I always go over fats and never go over on carbs which was a surprise when I started counting. And yes I do weigh every single thing with food scales. Have one for home and one for work.

I had a day like that yesterday and I knew it was coming. I wasn't going to be home all day. I had to eat at my moms, then it was date night with my husband. I enjoyed myself and kept a mental note of everything I ate and made sure to input it into MFP late at night. I went about 800 cals over, but it was worth it.

If I'm bored I all of a sudden get really hungry. Idk, to me I think to myself 'would I eat a bowl of apple slices (or any other nutritious foods)?'. If the answer is no I'm probably not that hungry. If yes, I eat but try to keep it light.

I have jeans that are sizes 6, 8, and 10. I can fit into all of them. I never worry about sizes anymore.

I'm 5ft 7in and eat 1900ish cals a day. I have 10 pounds to lose only. I remember first starting off with the 1200 cal range cause that's what MFP suggested. I lost the weight.. and then some. I lost hair, my nails were horrible, I was cold all the time, no energy (even though I forced myself to go to the gym), etc. It was…

I went at least a year before realizing that I was eating two servings instead of one. Learned to read food labels carefully the hard way.

I guess because I may have a lot on my plate in their minds. Like I'm a mom, I go to the gym, take guitar classes, go to church (and volunteer every week), and then me and my husband are always doing stuff on the weekends. Sometimes I wish I liked coffee and energy drinks/sodas for a mini boost of energy but I guess I…

What is your weight and age?

I never liked the idea of using babies as weight. Idk, it just seemed like a silly idea since babes usually move a lot and don't want to be moved up and down, side to side, or whatever the heck you see on videos. But if that works for most, then great! I would search for body weight exercises. A girl from high school got…

I've only heard of carb cycling when people were on prep.
-
I would only weigh myself on one scale going forward. Pick the one you like best and get rid of the second one.

Most (like leg extensions) only give me the option of adding ten. Thank you all for your input. This really helps!
