Thanks for all the replies! I’ve been staying between 1100 and 1200. I’ve calculated my maintenance and it’s around 1500. (Im a short person) Today I probably hit around 2500 calories.

I go to the gym 4-5 days a week. Spend around 20 minutes on either the elliptical or treadmill for cardio and another 20ish on the machines. Sometimes I'll try to add in a full body workout with a mixture of body weight and free weights. I'm also on my feet all day as a hairdresser so I get a good amount of steps in.

I think 1600 is close to maintenance for my size and activity level so I just need to find a way to stick to a better deficit than 1500

I'm at 130. Trying to stay between 1000 and 1200. However by the end of the day it's usually around 1500..

I kinda agree with OP.. only because I have more confidence once I've shed a few pounds. Even though you all are right! Someone should seriously like you for you and not just your weight. I guess it's easier to be the real you when you're confident about how you look

Would this type of diet be safe for someone who's 4'11''? What would a healthy full day of eating look like? I'd still want to get in all the nutrients I'd need. But anyways, I feel like anytime I eat more than 1200 I actually gain weight..

Wow, that's crazy! Well how many calories should 3 oz of grilled chicken be? I know it depends on things like how you cook it but generally how many?

Yeah you don't hear much about the psychological aspects of losing weight but it definitely plays a huge role!!

I think about this all the time! I honestly felt the healthiest and looked my best when I just listened to my body. It wasn't until I started researching diets and the whole debate over carbs and stuff where I became obsessive. Too bad there isn't a way to just zap our minds and start over

I have considered getting some extra help I just don't know who to go to. A nutritionist or an actual therapist? Also, I'll have to check out those podcasts. Are they on mfp? Where do I find them?

Small goals! Don't over whelm yourself with a new diet or a crazy workout schedule. For example, try eating from home for a week rather than going out. Think of it like you're saving money! Or try to go for a walk in the evenings. That's my goal right now.. my dog needs a walk everyday and so do I lol

I wouldn't suggest force feeding! However, I would try to at least eat a little something if you can. Try maybe a handful of nuts? Easy way to get a decent amount of calories in! Im just saying because tomorrow you might be super hungry and crave a bunch of crap because of how little food you had today! At least that's…
