  • I started a 12 week cut 4 weeks ago. I'm making very good progress. so good in fact I had to dial it back a little. I started at 202.5 and wanted to be in the 190 range in mid November. I was 192 on the third week. once i hit my goal in November I will reevaluate my goals based on my condition. I'm tall so getting below…
  • looks like you are getting there. keep it up. guessing your bf% would be difficult even if we knew all of your stats. use calipers and trust them. you can go to a good sports nutrition store and they will test it for you or show you the proper way to use calipers.
  • post a pic of a bodybuilder you would want to look like.
  • are you just trying to gain weight because you are too thin or are you going on a bulk? I get a large portion of my food and protein from egg whites. its easy to add things to them to make them tasty like red pepper or jalapenos. its clean protein
  • You have unlimited options but to start i would suggest this. Every planet fitness has an area they usually call the 30 min full body workout section or circuit training section. Its a big semi circle of machines that you use one after the other and it works your entire body. The Side of each machine will have a manufature…
  • I got down to 10% body fat a year ago and my abs were still not impressive. I abandoned my thought that it was all diet and realized my abs were small. I have been doing weighted crunches for a year and can now see my abs at a bf higher than 10%. So make sure you have the muacular base befor you diet down. Otherwise you…
  • I drove richard simmons in a limo years ago. He was doing a show and i picked him up at the airport and Drove him to the fairfrounds about 2 hours away. He was extremely nice and a really neat person. When we got to the fairgrounds he got out of the car at the gate and jogged into the arena in the headlights of the limo.…
  • do you workout? remember when you get your body fat down its going to show your muscular structure. if you work out it will look good. if you don't you will look very skinny. so if you just want to be a regular guy who has some abs then just a cut. if you want to be muscular at all you have to build that muscle.
  • I usually workout on empty. haven't seen any negative effects.
  • i was a competitive swimmer for years. i never had body hair. when i quit swimming i couldnt get used to arm or armpit hair. i would use a beard trimmer to trim it down the first couple of times and then just whack it off with a razor. the years of shaving your face will come into play here. it takes no time and ive never…
  • I like and use "carnivore". its a beef based protein vs. whey which is more common. beef protein is supposed to absorb better. its also tasty. I go back and forth between the vanilla caramel and chocolate flavors. I mix them with 2% milk. best tasting protein ive had.
  • this isn't what you were looking for but I'm going to say it anyway. there is no way you can marry a person with food issues and keep yours under control at the same time. its the same that a meth user and a former meth user couldn't live together without the former user slipping and becoming a user again. a person with…
  • its probably going to change shapes two or three more times before you hit your goal. so don't fret too much. however we are all shaped a little different. its what makes us neat. there are small things you can do to modify your total body shape once you are at your goal but until then I wouldn't worry about it. keep on…
  • you are given a total amount of calories you are SUPPOSED to eat daily in order to lose your preset amount of weight per week. you are supposed to REACH that goal every day not eat less. if you exercise and that drops you under that goal you are allowed and supposed to eat back up to that goal. mfp sets the per week weight…
  • A home gym would never work for me. I would go in and do a couple bench presses every now and then but i wouldnt follow a program at home. Im 39. The biggest thing i noticed after 30 was how easy it was to put on fat. Not blubber but its easy to get a squishy loose gut. If your new to working out the good news is that it…
  • I'm 39 and found that when I was in my 20s I wanted to be the strongest biggest guy there was. it was all ego lifting. however now that I'm almost 40 I'm more concerned with being fit and in better shape than people my age. I have noticed a life time of stress on my joints will occasionally catch up with me and I will have…
  • its been a year for me and when I look at my progress pics its hard to believe its me. the way I judge myself has gotten a lot more harsh but that's because I have made so much progress I know what I CAN do now.
  • so your calories are -1000 calories? that's not good. you daily calories should never be negative. you may be working against yourself. I agree a modest deficit will get you there. small areas like lower belly and lower back are the last places to get lean. this process takes time. give it time. also 14% bf isn't terrible.…
  • the first time I was lean enough to have visible abs (last summer) I found out that I didn't have enough abs. they were visible but had no thickness. I have been using the weighted crunch machine for about a year now and can really tell the difference. I also started doing some decline situps with a twist.

  • if your quads are big enough ALL jeans are skinny jeans.
  • I have been working on my chest for about 6 weeks and I'm making great progress. I started adding exercises that I hadn't done before like dead benches.
  • I wouldn't mind some details on this.
  • I hate hyphenated names. either marry the dude or don't. I wouldn't get married if she wanted to hyphenate. there are a few exceptions that would make it understandable but they are few and far between.
  • love that show so much.
  • I never got very good range of motion with a dumbbell. when I switched to the curl bar I could really feel it. might be different body composition that makes it hit us different.
  • i know you have a goal weight but I wouldn't get hung up on that now. if your up in the 380s two hundred anything will feel good. congrats on the weight loss.
  • I have been trying to improve my tris for the last couple of months and I'm seeing some really nice progress. I start with cable pushdowns, close grip bench, overhead ticep extension with a curl bar, skull crushers, reverse grip tricep cable extension. been working well.
  • Who knows what she smelled like without it? Might have been doing you a favor.
  • I had my T level checked because i wanted so e testosterone to boost me in the gym. Stupid test said im in the 97% for my age. So they wouldnt give it to me.
  • I use a pre-workout . protein, and multivitamins. I do believe supplementation is important once you push your body further than the average person. I work in a pharmacy and can attest as many of you already know that 95% of otc supplements are crap. Got to be careful with your money and your body.
