@amandacowan1978 I'm just starting to try this. I've been stuck in the same 2-3 pound range for about 2 months. I have about 18 pounds left to lose (lost almost 40 this year so far), but I'm just trying to get into this groove of carb cycling. I didn't read any of the books about it - just internet research. I'd love to…

Hey Crystal! Congrats on starting a weight program! I started lifting back at the beginning of the year, and at 33 years old, I'm stronger and just plain feel healthier than I ever did in my 20s! I do weights 2-3 times a week and cardio 2-3 times a week with a yoga class stuck in there somewhere, but 3 times a week for…

@makingmark I know exactly how you feel. Where you say your brain goes haywire- I used to equate it to feeling like blacking out- like coming to and realizing I ate the family size box of velveeta Mac and cheese by myself.

@Muchabibi I actually decided last year that I had to do something. The binging was out of control. I'd gained 30 pounds in a very short time - mostly from candy bars and french fries. the cycle of shame and guilt of hiding it (as much as you can hide 30 pounds - ha ha) from my family was becoming too much. So I searched…

@BigBill1971 you're not the first one to try to put it into your tracker  haha! I like someone's idea up there for using wrestling. Lol

@Kir122 Thanks for sharing your video! I'm excited to see the next one. I too have gone back and forth with binge eating as an adult, and even though I've gone 9 months without binging now, and I'm doing all of these healthy things- therapy and yoga and tapping- to try to keep it under control, I am still nervous that it's…

I'm in! 10 pounds by October would put me so close to maintenance mode for the first time in YEARS, and I'm excited about entering that leg of this journey!

I also try to get a couple of 10-15 minute walks into my day. We have a gym in my facility, so that's a great resource to be able to still walk when it's raining or to get in some weights. I also like to use the stairwells from time to time - going up and down the stairs 10 or so times. I keep an extra stick of deodorant,…

I'm also a binge eater and emotional eater and would be happy to support each other! I've gone through periods where I weighed as much as 300 pounds and other periods where I've gained 30 pounds in the span of 3 or 4 months from binge eating. Right now, I'm almost 9 months into not binging and steadily losing weight by…

I've lost 36 pounds and still have about 20 or so to lose, but I feel amazing. I feel confident and strong. I'm excited about clothes shopping, and I recently realized after a brief hiatus from working out due to a cold, that I sleep so much better when I'm working out!

I've never heard of it, but I'm interested! I'm going to do some reading now!

Finally made it to the gym this morning. My trainer wasn't too rough on me since it's been about a week since I worked out last, but the jump squats will definitely be felt tomorrow! It feels really good to get through an illness and a hiatus from working out and to know it doesn't mean anything larger than just that. I…

So true! I can't remember the last time I've spent so much time on the couch doing nothing, but I'm taking the break, alternating between rewatching The Office and napping. Keeping the long range view of things and knowing a week off from being sick doesn't have to equate to "falling off the wagon." Love seeing…
