I cook from cooking light cookbooks all the time, and if that's where the diet plan pulls recipes from, I've found that a lot of the recipes are already in mfp's database. My two caveats... The older the recipe the more likely it seems to be in the system. And if 100% accuracy / weights are what you need/want, it still…

I live in cinci and have done the half several times (1/2 and full are pretty much together for the 1/2). It's hilly here, and the half has at least one good climb. It's also loads of fun.

In my community, the narrow sidewalks are like a perpetual game of chicken. Who will yield? The 8 year old on a bike? The dog walker? The couple walking? The parent with the stroller? So you drop into the street to run and people complain about that. My teens assure me that this level of frustration with side walk right…

Does LA fitness lock you into a year contract or anything? If they don't, maybe try it for 3 mos and see if you think you're getting enough use from the pool to make it worth the extra $.

Love the meep of nuthatches. And to watch them go down the trunks of trees. I should put out a feeder! Feeling inspired....

1/7: 3.5, 13.5/50 1/9: 4.0, 17.5/50 1/10 2.0 19.5 / 50 (treadmill) I was happily spacing out on the treadmill when my phone bounced off of that little shelf onto the treadmill belt and then hit the floor. Pretty happy that didn't cause *me* to splat and that the screen survived...!

1/6 4 m, 10/50 For excitement, a little dog tried to bite me when I was passing on the sidewalk. I know these people and know they have an electric fence, so I wasn't paying attention, and was so surprised when it came all the way up to me and tried to bite. I don't think it broke the skin. Jeesh.

I like to run with friends that like to talk a lot (bonus, they help keep me accountable to even get out the door)...or music when I'm by myself....

I'm so impressed that you'll even consider going out in those temps. Even w/ great gear I can't get below about 20 F (~ -6 c).

1/3 3 miles (*) 7/50 Went out w/ a friend that's recovering from a stress fracture (egads)--we were alternating walking/running around a track as she eases back in--that's why the asterisk. And, I'm really having trouble staying warm, darn it--it's about 37 f here, and my hands never warmed up in good mittens. ps @medmuso…

4/50 on 1/1/19--happy to have gotten out the door! It's fun to see all the races :)

I'm going to jump in for Jan for 50 miles. I've been hemming and hawing about signing up for a race this spring, but can't decide. I often have trouble getting myself out when it's cold, which brings me to my second goal, which is to run at least 3x a week this month.

I'm thinking about running a 1/2 in cincinnati in early may. If I do, I'm going to join a training program that a local running store does. It helps me to have someone or some thing that will hold me accountable. (especially in the winter) Good luck!
