How long have you been trying? Sometimes it takes me a while to start losing and sometimes I have mysterious mini plateaus. Have you started a new exercise program? I've lost nearly 50 lbs working out at home. I do have a substantial amount of equipment. Pairs of Dumbells up to 50 lbs, a barbell that accomodates lower weights, and olympic barbell and weights, a bench, bodylastics bands, stability ball, etc. I use a lot of Cathe Friedrich DVDs and have started to venture into programs…

It's taken me two years and yes, kids do do a number on your body. There are things that no amount of diet and exercise will fix, but, hey, it's worth it. We will rock our fifties indeed :smile:

I'm 48 and I've born a large number of children. I don't want that to be an excuse to be out of shape. I want to have energy as I raise them into my old age. I totally agree with this too. Don't stop lifting. My weight fluctuates like crazy but I've lost almost 50 lbs in the last 2 years, slow but steady. Don't give up!

You might have to play with your numbers a bit to see what works. I'm nursing a toddler still and I'm losing on around 1600 per day plus workouts, but I'm close to my goal and the loss is slow and steady :smile:

I workout with weights. I couldn't imagine a fitness program without them. Now if I could just lose some more body fat.....but that's why I'm here :smile:

I'm working on the last 10 lbs--well, the last 9.6 as of this morning. I've been plateaued forever and I'm finally seeing a little progress (my total loss is 46 lbs). I hope to see my goal by the end of summer. I lift weights, do cardio, and eating around 1600 cal per day. Any lower and it will trigger binging for me.

I injured my knee last March which threw me into a depression and a panic because I couldn't work out the way I wanted to ( at least where cardio and leg work were concerned--I could still do upper body weight work )This lead to overheating, binging…

I workout about 6 days a week for about an hour a day give or take.
