I'm 40 (41 in June) and back again...for about the 50th time....looking to lose and keep the weight off. Ultimately I really need to lose about 55 lbs, but right now I'll be happy with small steps...15-30.....I hate fad diets and once I get into the routine, love exercise!

Nope don't need it for calories, just to rehydrate. He's a husky kid and will be sweating profusely in this heat/humidity once he has 2-hour per night football practices 4 nights per week.

I like making grilled chicken salads. Or you can do the Tuna Creations pouches within a salad. My faves are the Lemon Pepper or the Ranch. You can also add in boiled eggs and/or nuts.

Depends on what you're snacking on! You can always reduce your meal sizes to accommodate your snacks. Or up your protein in your meals so that you stay fuller longer. Or switch to lower calorie/healthier snacks!

I eat throughout the day. Not preplanned snacks, but coffee and yogurt for breakfast, banana for a snack, energy bite if I need a little more, lunch, veggies/fruit after lunch, cheese chips spread out through the entire day, etc. I eat when my stomach tells me I'm hungry.

I also make these with almond butter and craisins. My kids like the BP/chocolate chip ones and my husband and I like the almond butter ones. They take about 10 minutes to whip up!

Carbs being: bread, chips, crackers, pizza, pasta, cereal, etc. When it comes to bread, I only eat whole grain or whole wheat. And I know its impossible for me to cut out carbs 100% and honestly I don't want to. But I need to make a focused effort to cut it back significantly and focus more on protein, fruits, and veggies.

My favorite is taco chicken....4 frozen chicken breasts (boneless/skinless), 1 jar of salsa, 1 package of taco seasoning, and maybe a little bit of water. Cook on low for 8 hours. Shred. You can use it anywhere you like taco flavored chicken :)

Yes it routinely makes me go over my calorie goal. And yes that is all on me and my portion control. I tend to be "all or nothing" when it comes to carbs. So I feel like if I cut most of them out and then slowly reintroduce as I need, I may learn how to do better with them.

I log as accurately as I can. But I do know that carbs are a significant portion of my calories during the day and that needs to change.

Balsamic Chicken and Veggies. New recipe that I'm excited to try!!

I fought back from having both lower leg bones broken. Had a plate and 8 screws in there. Used to do nothing but walking at first, then started running about 4 years ago. Never been a runner before but I am now. I got the hardware taken out about 2 years ago and was back to running within about 4 months. I've never been a…

Feel free to add me. I try to eat somewhat healthy, but with 2 kids in sports, its usually whatever fits into my calories. We have a busy life, so McDonald's and subway happens more often than not!

I use 1/2 tsp of sugar and silk almond creamer (caramel flavor)

Just took a 2 month progress pic this morning and proved to myself that the scale is really not a great gauge of progress! This is about 7 lbs difference...

I guess I can consider myself a runner. I try to get out 2-3 times per week for at least 3 miles each. Add me if you'd like!

I don't know if what I'm doing is a "lifestyle change" or not, but I do know, I plan on continue doing what I'm doing for life. Because now, instead of coming home from work and plopping on my recliner, I do 30 minutes on my elliptical or go for a couple mile run or walk. That's a change from my previous life. I have a…

I guess to me, as long as it fits into your calories, go for it. There are times on the weekends when we don't even eat dinner until after 8 pm, so there's no way I could do this and NOT eat at night sometimes!
