Thank you all for the advice and well wishes! I am going to go ahead with the honey, which is not mysterious - tea of your choice with honey and lemon during the day, and an oversized shot glass filled halfway with bourbon (or your choice of liquor, at least 80 proof), then honey, with a squeeze of lemon juice for…

Who said anything about jealousy?

Glad folks are forgiving in this neck of the woods, then!

The way I cut out a lot of sugar was to stop eating packaged foods. When I started LCHF that wasn't my goal but everything in the world seems to have sugar in it. I had to learn how to make my own "packages" that fit my macros. This takes effort, both mental, to learn what and how, and physical, to prepare the food and…

Oooh I would die without chocolate. I eat dark chocolate on the reg! I dunno what made me so grouchy last night, maybe I'm just turning into a crotchety old lady, LOL. Most of the time I really do shrug things off when they annoy me, but once in a while I become Oscar.

I'm a bit taller than you, but my goal weight is 120 and the TDEE I got for maintenance of that was 1500 or so.
-
Oh, well you're in good shape then, bonus points for thinking ahead!
-
Yep, like I said, I was grumpy, so have applied the STFU.

Is that literally all you eat, salmon and goat's milk? That's bound to give you some deficiencies, even with a multivitamin. Your numbers are not accurate at all. USDA gives a value for 3.5 oz goat's milk as 74 cals, 3.8 protein, and 4.42 fat. Wild atlantic salmon (raw) has 322 cals, 44.97 protein, and 14.37 fat per 8 oz.…

Yeah there was no particular thread actually, and I'm not having a particularly hard time right now. Pretty sure I was just grumpy and had my "posts I hate" glasses on. LOL.

Some of these drugs do cause weight gain regardless of caloric intake; you could call it a "known issue," and there is a division in the medical community regarding risk vs benefit. I've been seeing this in my work in recent months. I think really the only thing you can really do is talk to your doctor. It's above my pay…

I quit drinking soda a long time ago and I don't really remember the withdrawals or anything like that, but black coffee has the caffeine, and ibuprofen is your friend. If that doesn't work, try Tylenol according to the directions (and no more). Cutting sugar to below 25 g (the WHO recommendation) helped me a lot. I used…

Well, now I feel like a giant hypocrite, because I think human flesh is funny, but I was grossed out by the bucket of vomit and asked MFP to remove it. Live and learn.
-
How on earth could someone know the calories in human vomit? It would be made of different stuff every time. And what size is "1 bucket." That's got to be a joke. Also, gross.
-
Again I say... ask your doctor. I'm glad to hear you have one. While you're at it ask him/her for some antiemetics. They exist for a reason.

Been on SSRIs for years and years. Mostly sertraline (Zoloft) but also tried citalopram and some others. Only sertraline works for me. And no, it will not make depression and anxiety go away completely. Really what it will do is make you better able to deal with them. Some people can take them for a while and then go off…

I log mine, plus my medicines, because that way I know I've taken them. I've also switched to gummies because KITTEN those gigantic horse pills, and they have carbs, LOL.
-
Seconded, my roommate had undiagnosed H. pylori for a long time and her teeth were just ruined before it was finally discovered and treated.
-
I hope you're under treatment for your GI issues because that sounds like hell on wheels, and all that hurling can really mess you up. I'd ask the doctor about it, honestly. Doc knows you and your condition better than anyone here could.
-
Yes, there are links sometimes, and I really appreciate your passion on this issue, but I'd also like to suggest to you that the idea that there's a magic psychological key to weight loss can be just as destructive as the idea that there's a magic pill. I've seen people search for years for that psychological insight that…

The siren call of fast food! I hear that!

@mygrl4meee I in no way want to discount or invalidate your experience - you went through some really hard stuff and I respect you for doing the work to get through it. I disagree (in a pleasant and non-acrimonious fashion) on the idea that there MUST be something emotional involved with needing to lose over 100 pounds,…
-
I'm sorry those things happened to you. Glad to hear you're better.

That's fine if she's not the only one who thinks this. If you think I'm defensive, well, okay. I still just want to know why she thinks that, and it doesn't have anything to do with drugs or alcohol or fat acceptance or any of that. If you'd like to engage on that particular question I'll be glad to talk with you…
-
I said I was curious why the poster believes that someone who has at least 100 pounds to lose must have "emotionally... something going on," because I want to know why she thinks this, and that is the sole reason for my post. There is no ulterior motive and I'd appreciate it if you didn't infer one.
-
I'm curious to know why you think this.

If I get that real gut-growling hunger, I eat. If I get a bit high on calories, as long as they're from real food, I don't worry too much, and I don't try to "make it up" because that way lies madness, at least for me. If my mouth gets bored (usually a sign my electrolytes are off), a couple of olives or a pickle (mmmm…

I log everything except dried herbs and spices. Too fiddly.
-
I also love food and it's not an emotional thing. My terrible habit is eating when I'm bored.

The festival, from what I can tell, is at the end of this month. I'm thinking 20-30 pounds is a bit much to lose in that time frame.
