If I think about all I have learned about weight loss, the real key was something I learned when I first found GOAD. I learned that diets don't work if you just complete the diet and go back to what you were doing before. The insight is to think of weight management as a lifetime commitment. That seems obvious to me now,…

At least the Cowboys hung in there for the first half. I knew it was over when they took points off the board by accepting the penalty instead of keeping the made field goal. All downhill from there.

I picked a good week to jump on the Bills' bandwagon.

Not exactly what the question was going for, but I tend to loosen the reins a bit on Fridays (and sometimes Saturdays) after my Friday morning weigh-in, knowing that I have the rest of the week to make it up.

Well, just when I was ready to pick Washington, they losst two games in a row, incuding to the Eagles. The Vikings were a candidate, but having lived there I hold too many grudges against them. I'm going to go with the Bills and hope Amari Cooper gets healthy and can contribute.

Up 0.8 pounds for the week. It could have been worse given some of my choices this week. Good job Steve meeting your running goal for the year. I didn't have a specific mileage goal, but I did just pass my total for 2023.

As a Cowboys fan I was conditioned to hate the Redskins, but dare I pull for the Commanders?

Charlie and Al, there is talk around here that Bill Belichick might be the Cowboys' coach next year. As Patriots fans, do you give equal credit to him and that quarterback? Has the league passed him by?

Nobody took me up on the semi-serious request that I posted late in last week's thread. On the chance that it just didn't get seen, here is a copy of that question. Anyone care to offer-up their team? This season has turned into a dumpster fire for Dallas. I will always be a Cowboys fan, but now I need another team to root…

Merle Haggard wrote a song called I Never Go Around Mirrors. It contaned the line 'it tears me up to see a grown man cry'. He wasn't talking abut weight loss, but it can apply here too. As an aside, Lefty Frizzell did a great version of that song.

Plus 1.4 pounds for the last two weeks. I'm at the very top of my target range.

I don’t think the sun came up today.

Welcome back Steve, glad you can still find your way here. I hope that you, your family, and everyone else for that matter can be safe over there. What a volatile region. Your excitement comes through on your post, so I'm happy for you.
