  • Yes, sorry OP. I don't get on a scale often. I am really striving for sustainability. I didn't weigh when I started my journey and as long as I'm not hungry and I am fulfilling my macros I just 'let it be'. My last weight was 217 and I am planning to weigh after the new year.
  • Thanks a bunch for your feedback... I've been convinced it was the chlorine but you may be right, that it could be something else that I am missing as the timing is all within this 3 month period. Especially considering I haven't been back to the pool for nearly a month.I am still going to take a break on the pulling here…
  • To the OP - How long have you been pulling for? Personally, I have been pulling about 4 - 5x a week for almost 12 weeks - I do not log the calories from the oil and don't see a lot of issues unless you are consuming like a TBLSP or something. I'm asking how long you have been pulling because I am experience some serious…
  • It's easy to doubt yourself, get obsessive about seeing results faster or experience self-incriminating thoughts. I am very familiar with all of this myself. I agree with other members to focus on today, distract yourself, etc but some days are a lot harder then others. I think no matter what stage you are in your journey…

  • The point I was trying to make is, in response to her mac n cheese you could say "That looks good but I'm cutting down on pasta. Could you make a cauliflower mac n cheese dish instead?"
  • It doesn't seem like she is purposely trying to sabotage you. If you're comfortable about it, I would talk to her and tell her how you feel. If she is a good friend it shouldn't piss her off or take long to get over. On the other hand, if you're going to lose weight and keep it off, I hope that it's a lifestyle change and…
  • Me too. But thinking about powered PB... I've seen a lot of good things!
  • Cupcake tin: mix up 12 - 14 eggs and fill each cup about 3/4 of the way through. Add your choice of meat and veges. I usually use hillshire farms turkey sausage, peppers & onions. I like to saute the sausage and onions a bit before I add them to the eggs and bake until they are fully cooked. Hard boiled eggs and string…
  • I use veges in place of noodles. Onions, peppers, zucchini, garlic cloves - Sauteed in red sauce is delish (just made this last night) with grilled chicken parm. I also like to make ground beef with broccoli&cheese sauce - Tastes like hamburger helper to me.
  • Firstly, I always share this article: http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/how-to-lose-fat/ Like the other person said... There's not a whole lot you can do to help. Honestly, looking back at when I needed to jump start my weight loss it wasn't until something clicked mentally. No matter what any one said, did, or didn't do - It…
  • Honestly, I think it is a bit 'normal' to be hungry 2.5 hours after eating. I would suggest having a snack that will fit into your daily calorie goal and as others have mentioned - Drink more water. Same thing for your night time hunger - Try to fit a filling snack into your daily calorie goal. It's OK to eat..You'll lose…
  • Feel free to take a look at my diary, it's open. I tend to get between 150-200g of protein a day. My diary is very repetetive as I pretty much eat the same breakfast Mon-Fri but my breakfast alone is 52g of protein. Here are some regular items for me: * Chicken (breasts, drumsticks, whole chicken) or any lean meats! * Eggs…
  • Such great advice here. I've experience the same fluctuation with losing and gaining weight and definitely face mental challenges every day. I found that while I was losing the most weight, my biggest achievement was letting a bad day be a bad day and focus on making the next day better or "normal" again. I know the…
  • Mon-Fri after fasted cardio I have: 3 boiled eggs 2 string cheese 2-3 ounces of turkey sausage & 1/4 cup of bear naked honey almond
  • A lot of folks will tell you that there is no need to avoid carbs as long as you're eating the right amount of calories. While I definitely agree, I still try to limit carbs from pasta, bread, pastries, rice, etc and enjoy carbs from oats, veges, and beans. I average less than 100g of carbs a day and try to stay below 50…
  • I experienced this recently with some chicken breasts in Jack Daniels sauce I bought. I ate the chicken and scraped a bunch of the sauce off.. By the time I finished the container almost all of the sauce that came in the package was tossed less the small amount soaked up and barely glazing the chicken. The carb/sugar #'s…
  • It's definitely going to slow down. To share my experience, I was the same weight for about 2 weeks BUT after that 2 weeks and not getting discourage with the SNAIL SCALE... I was able to fit into jeans I hadn't at the same weight 2 weeks prior. One of the best advice I've ever gotten, from this forum actually, is to think…
  • I follow this website and it always has great information: http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/not-eating-enough-calories/
  • Channel that energy into new recipes, meal planning, and food prep! Congrats on your success so far, keep it up!
  • Takes some very strong will power to resist temptation! Just keep your eyes on the prize (your goal). It will get easier over time. Try to eat foods/meals that you enjoy!
  • Not at all. I just bought it from Groupon a month or two ago and noticed that my muscles are less sore when I use the gel then when I don't. Thanks for checking tho!
  • Hello! Congratulations on your weight loss so far! Couple of suggestions... * Adjust your calories/goals based on your current weight if you haven't already. * Have patience! There was a point I stayed within the same 10lbs but I fit into old pants that were 3-4 sizes smaller * Weigh your food to make sure it is as…
  • So many different things you can do.. Are you eating at your calorie limit for your goals? Are you exercising? Lots of missing info to give helpful advice.
  • I use sweet sweat which warms up your muscles you apply it to. It has worked well for me on my bike rides, normally halfway through I get sore but when I'm using sweet sweat...I don't! Also suggest looking up some stretches that you can do beforehand to help.
  • Hello OP - Sounds like you could use some help figuring out your diet. Here is a link to a blog that really helped me understand losing weight. I was also once a victim to VLCD diets. http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/how-to-lose-fat/
  • Congrats on your success! How long have you been feeling this way? Honestly, sometimes I have bad days...Even bad weeks that I just don't want to do anything. Maybe try taking up a new activity that you can burn calories, walk a different route, switch up your playlist, bring a friend, or maybe setting a goal (i.e., walk x…
  • Many will agree that when you eat does not affect your weight loss as much as what deficit you're getting from your daily calorie intake. Personally, I eat a huge breakfast after fasted cardio then smaller meals throughout the day. I have been losing weight steadily. Good luck on your journey!
  • Honestly, I love getting free clothes whether I'm big or small. I wouldn't boast about the clothes being too big for you or why you're getting rid of them... but maybe just that you did some spring cleaning and offer for her to look through your stuff before you take it to good will. Congrats as well!
