Very good point.

Thank you @Noel_57 !! :)

I think about eating non-stop, but I make it a point to keep all junk food out of the house. It's hard, because my husband is a compulsive over eater, due to numerous meds that increase appetite, so sometimes I'm drooling while he's pounding down a bag of Fritos or chips, but I just focus on how far I've come and it's…

My sister is always asking me how much I've lost, so I tell her. For crying out loud, I'm losing an average of 2 lbs a week, but when I tell her that, she gets this really disappointed tone in her voice and says, "oh, ok", as if she expected more. This isn't a freakin sprint! 13.6 lbs in 7 weeks is HUGE for me! Gimme' a…

Oh ok. Can't seem to find my "Diet Profile". Where is that?

Thank you! :)

Is that why I started getting bombarded with emails from them?

As simple as it may sound, I absolutely LOVE how easy it is to keep track of your daily calorie intake. I've learned soooo much about how badly I was eating prior to using MFP.

I actually had an appt with my doc for today, but I cancelled it. He was just going to go over the guidelines for approval. I felt defeated without even going, because I know they will tell me to lose weight first, which is bogus, because I've dropped about 80 lbs before and the size of my breasts never changed, but…

Thank you!

@queenliz99 , thank you for sharing that. It was very insightful and helpful.

I've actually lost 12.6 over the course of 7 weeks. I'm praying that the scale starts moving again.

Thank you so much! :-)

I keep a large container of fruit flavored Tic Tacs next to me. It's 1.9 calories a piece. Sometimes when I'm craving something with more flavor, I just pop a couple in my mouth. Of course at the end of the day I calculate them. I find it easier to just not eat junk altogether, but I see many people on here who allow…

I greatly appreciate you sharing that. I didn't realize you could bank calories and eat them at another time. Sort of like points on WW.

Yeah, I'm finding it so difficult to have variety. Our freezer isn't that big and I buy so much nonfat yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, eggs and apples that it takes up the whole refrigerator lol I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't much care for meat, so I drink lots of protein shakes (low fat/ low carb) and I get my protein…

For me it's lots of protein, such as low fat cottage cheese, boiled eggs, or protein shakes. Protein is great for boosting your metabolism.

I not only weigh daily, but numerous times a day. Yes, I know, it's an obsession lol The only weight I take into consideration is my first weight of the morning, with no clothes, before I eat and after using the restroom. I just experienced two full weeks of the scale not budging an ounce. I was devastated, but kept at it…

Wow! Congrats! That's fantastic! :-) @Keladelphia
I don't like to feel hungry either so I usually eat lower calorie foods to get the biggest quantity bang for my buck...and I never feel the tiniest bit of guilt about quantity.
I guess I shouldn't feel guilty either, cuz the scale always goes down in the morning LOL yup, that's me. I want that bang for my…

Hahaha too cute!

@TresaAswegan, that's great that you are able to do that. I'm sort of stuck, because I live on disability and am only able to shop once a month. I have to buy all separate food for hubby and then all the diet food for myself, so it's really really hard to afford treats, which sucks, cuz I love protein bars. $2-$3 a piece…

Yes, very true.

I never have a cheat day. Been doing MFP for 7 weeks now. There have been 2 times where I had one high calorie meal when I was too far under calories, but for me, a whole cheat day isn't worth undoing what took me a whole week to accomplish. I can't work out like most people, so I'm very strict with my CICO.

Sounds like a serious case of jealousy to me. You're beautiful and you look fabulous! Congratulations on such a huge success! I totally admire you. Ignore those idiots. They say the same things to my daughter. She's 5'5" and 118 lbs. She's stunningly beautiful, but there will always be haters.

I started at 280 lbs and am down to 267.4 lbs. I don't really see a difference yet, but my double chin has definitely slimmed down a bit. I will be so excited when the first person says, "Wow! You look like you're losing weight". Such a feeling of accomplishment. Best wishes on your journey.

Thank you for the helpful tips everyone!
