  • We went to Punta Cana DR. Got a killer deal on an all inclusive and a nice upgrade too. It was our first all inclusive, and I think we're spoiled. It was soooo nice!
  • Up #2.2. Not unexpected since my last WI was an odd blip down. I've been hovering here since Jan. I'm annoyed and disappointed by myself. This week was back on track, since Mon, and plan to stay here. Need to stay out of the cupboard with nuts and chips ... they add up so fast! Also, the weight I'm at is so close to a line…
  • Up 2.2, not unexpected since it was a weird blip down last week. More in 10# challenge.
  • I ebb and flow with this, but right now, and the last few years, I've taken: +Multi vit for ♀️ +Calcium +D (I was ridiculously low when tested 10 yes ago, and took 3 years to get it into a healthy range) +Move free triple action for my joints. Hips used to lock up, pretty uncomfortable. Tried to go off them but symptoms…
  • Interesting!
  • It's a wonderful return to almost normal Al. Except for masks and social distancing of course. But it's sure gave my soul a lift when we went. 🙂. I hope you get to try it again soon!
  • I try to freeze a few good low point dishes and stock my frig with foods that last and will make healthy eating easy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, we were really busy (9 overnights with the GDs then scurrying to get ready to leave) the two weeks before we left in Feb and this prep never happened. I'm still struggling to…
  • Interesting! I went to my workshop and didn't give it any thought. When I went to answer this question, I was going to put "get back on track" for S. Hardly specific. I'm going to give this more thought! Maybe I'll actually "get back on track" if I stop going about it the same way that's not working. DUH
  • Did not get a chance to WI. Still not home so I plan to just wait for next week.
  • The lesson that's stuck with me is from way before WW. It was a church group, and I can't even remember the program we followed, but the lesson was two-fold. 1 Really taste your first bite of food and decide if it's "worth it" or not. When I started doing that, I realized that there were a lot of desserts that I really…
  • I'm not a big fan of meat. It's ok, but prefer it in small amounts with veggies and carbs. DH on the other hand is a BIG meat fan, especially beef! But since his cholesterol is high, I only cook it once a week (max) per Dr's orders 🤷 Re your point @newmantjn , I looked at NI values for 95% gr beef (I figure it's probably…
  • This is the hardest part, and I've been struggling with it for 2 weeks. I keep telling myself it's just 3 days, and then it'll be easier. I'm going to try talking myself through, meal by meal. I never thought of breaking it down 🤦 Thanks for mentioning this!
  • I do best spreading it out. Steps every hour. Dancing with simplysmiling and tramp when I feel like it. My schedule doesn't allow me to get it done first thing in the morning, unless I get up early and move right away. Tried that twice. It was not my jam!
  • I love weekends, since DH doesn't have to work. I love my Monday morning WW meeting I love my bible study mornings, Tues and Wed. BUT my fav is Thurs, a day w/o commitments or anyone to work my morning around. And I love to lay in bed and read for a couple hours. It's my self care day 🙂
  • Yes, @crewahl you've got it. 🙂 And yes, there's some expected gain and loss, esp the water weight I always find on travel days. And if I was eating better and moving more, I'd be less skeptical, BUT I'm not! Honestly, I think I'm trying really hard not to let myself think I can just continue as I've been and expect to…
  • I'm down 2.6#, and feeling as uncertain as we often do when the scale suddenly blips up. I don't feel like I've earned it, haven't been moving much, have eaten pretty so so. I'd like to think I'll continue down from here, but ... My plan for the next week is to eat better, track better, move more. I'm truly baffled 🤷🤔🤯🤥…
  • Nice trend! Congrats all! 🎉🎉🎉 I'm down too, but feeling a little uncomfortable about it. More in the #10 thread.
  • 10# increments, recorded in the 10# challenge thread every Friday.
  • I'm around a 5, up from last week, and definitely going to increase it next week! It's been tough getting back on track post vaca, due in part to being exhausted. I need to bite the bullet and tough a few days out to stop the cyclic: tired ➡️eating sugar & junk ➡️ feeling crappy & tired ➡️ not exercising ➡️ tired ➡️ ...…
  • @cakeman21k and @88olds I think you might be interested in a book Michael Symon wrote called Fix it with Food. He has lupus and had majorly reduced his discomfort with diet. He suggests 3 week of no dairy, beef, sugar, alcohol, and maybe flour, I think. These are the major foods that cause inflammation. After 3 weeks, you…
  • When life is feeling out if my control, and focus is a struggle, I try to take what little control I can grab on to and do that. Since good eating is one of the few things I can always control, it's a great mental boost for me. Sometimes easier said than done, but so worth it and encouraging in an often disproportionate…
  • Missed 2 WIs while vacationing. Ate decent, drank way too much! Always gain water weight when I travel. 1st morning back I was up 10.6. I feel good about only 2 to go, but irritated that I lost a 10# mark. Eating was pretty good this week. Exercise not so much. This week I'm going to work to improve both, and reachieved…
  • Oops 😂😂😂
  • Oh @Al_Howard I forgot about the HN hot dog! And the 0 SP Castleberrys chili for on top! Yum! And I'm surprised by your WW recipe experience. I've liked all of them that I've made. Maybe that's partly because I've experimented a lot with different food and have a pretty solid handle on what I'll like and what I won't, tho…
  • @whathapnd I hadn't thought about the difference in my first journey and this one! I had a leader I didn't really get to know, one new friend at the meeting, and my book/slide rule or whatever tool they gave us back in the day. Today, a leader and group I "know" and communicate with online, online recipes, GoaD, etc. There…
  • Yes. It's on Pound Dropper. I've made the plain Jane, pumpkin and the lemon. All are good but I like lemon best. Making it today for the weekend! And because I need a good 1SP on 💜 snack to keep me on track! I should say that my family doesn't like it. It's not like real cheesecake. But it is a sweet, tart dessert.…

  • I remember next to nothing about my first WW experience. I do know that I was at a healthy weight when I got married. I know my first meeting was by the apartment we lived in for the first 2 years. And I know I made goal. So I assume I gained a fast 20 or 30 post wedding aywanted it off. I'd guess I chose WW because my mom…
