Virtual meetings
When the newest version of virtual meetings started, I tried a bunch of times/leaders and found them all painful! From the women fawning over the male ML's "beautiful smile" (🤮, if the sexes were reversed people would have lots to say about it), to the members who went to tons of meetings and monopolized the time, telling…

PSA: WW lifetime
I mentioned this on the GoaD facebook page, but in case any of you aren't on fb ... WW has a new policy for those who have achieved lifetime, but are now over goal. You can now get full services (digital, virtual and in person meetings) for $14.95 a month. And it doesn't matter how long ago you achieved lifetime. Mine was…

Living the Lifestyle:. Thurs, Nov 26, 2020 Early edition
We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice. This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight…

Overnight oats question
I've finally embraced overnight oats, now that I learned here that it could be made with milk instead of yogurt 🤯. My question is, how many days ahead do you guys make them? Some nights I think about it but don't feel like making them, then in the morning, I want them! I'd definitely eat them more if I can batch prep them…

August?
In roll call last month, @cakeman21k said, "Another month down in my journey though life!". When I first read it, I was sure he was going to say "...journey of weight loss". And it got me thinking, how was my July re. weight loss. I found it helpful to look at the big picture, so I thought I'd look back again... How were…

Food pushers
@steve0mania mentioned food pushers in the LTL thread. I didn't want to hijack that thread, but it reminded me of something that happened last weekend. The lake association where we have our cottage had a social event. Our family didn't participate (for lots of reasons I won't go into) but we were anchored where they ended…

July?
In roll call, @cakeman21k said, "Another month down in my journey though life!". When I first read it, I was sure he was going to say "...journey of weight loss". And it got me thinking, how was my July re. weight loss. How were my numbers? But it's not just about the numbers, how did my plan go? What do I need to…

My first GOAD meet up!
It was so cool to meet GOAD @88olds . Nice to meet you George, and to get to chat with you. Thanks for meeting at Sloppy Joe's!

Emotional Eating
I've been thinking a lot about emotional eating. We 'eat our feelings' or 'turn to food' when we're stressed, upset, happy, worried etc. And we strive to 'manage' our emotions. Or to control them. And honestly, I've felt some victory in the simple understanding that I am an emotional eater. BUT, as a person who tends to…

"Dieting" forever
I didn't want to hijack Steve's post ... He got me thinking when he said, "It's clear that one can't simply "diet" for a while, lose weight, and then go back to their old style of eating, or else they'll simply gain all of their weight back" Why is it that some people just eat "normal" and get fat? Better yet, why do some…

WW meeting
Since we're in a big winter storm, my WW meeting was cancelled. Since many of the roads are a mess, I don't think I'll be able to get to a meeting when they start back up Thurs night. Would you guys who go to WW be willing to fill me in on what was discussed at your meeting and what your take away was?

Comfort food

WI and DietBet
I had my first WI last night and am down #5. A good start for week 1. Even more exciting is that I won my DietBet! It was a 4 week bet, and by meeting my goal, I get my buy in $ back and a cut of the pot. It'll be fun to see how many of the 640 people in this challenge were successful. I found it very motivating to have $…

Facebook WW for Men
Just saw this on Facebook and thought some of you might be interested. It's not a men's only group, just seeks to support men on WW. https://www.facebook.com/groups/389711228061284/

Air fryer
I've been hearing about air fryers for a while, and decided to try one. I'm not big on 'fake food', BUT so far, I love what I've made in my air fryer. French fries - 1# potatoes, 1 tsp oil, seasoned salt. Came out brown and crispy! Matchstick carrots - 1/2# carrot sticks, 3/4 tsp oil, s/p. Textures varied, some really…

Scale victory!
I just have to tell someone who 'gets it' ... Yesterday, one week after returning from a 12 day vacation (9 of them on a cruise ship), I am back to pre-vacation weight! In 5 years of WW, I've never come.e close to gaining this little, and getting it off this quickly! Woo hoo! I might just be getting the hang of this :)

Naked Pop ups
As I was posting today, a partially blurred pop-up of a naked woman in a shower appeared and it asked if I wanted to share naked pics with 'Shower'somebody (didn't quite catch the name. Busy getting it to go away.). Uh, no thank you LOL Anyone else have 'interesting' pop-ups on MFP?

Poll: "You've lost enough"
This came up in my meeting this week, and I just read about it on Connect. People are being told they shouldn't lose more weight, they are getting too skinny, or they look great right where they are. What's interesting to me is the people's reaction to these comments. They are hurt, deflated, or saddened. I don't get it. I…

Indulgences, please help!
I'm not sure where to start, but a little background might help. I've been on WW for 4 years. The first 2 I was on program, had consistant losses, and I learned early how to include indulgences. The next year I mostly held steady, with around 80-90#s off. Then I was on long term, high doses of prednisone and 3…

Board feature, new to me
I stumbled on a way to post stalk someone. Hit the magnifying glass, put their user name in the 'author' spot, be sure to check how many days it's searching, mine defaulted to 1, and you get their history. It will bring up their threads and comments. Now if someone can find an easy way to navigate thru the posts without…

FAO. Rachel & spospo1
Thanks for the encouragement! Food was exactly as I feared ... mayo laden chicken salad on croissants, cheese, chips and pasta salad. They did have veggies and fruit, and two surprises, olives and a very lightly dressed raw cauliflower salad. Cake was made by a family friend. 'Everyone' loves her cake, except me so that…

Navigating the board
The PSA on seeing all posts got me thinking again about some of my challenges on this new site, so I thought I'd ask ... Can you read thru discussions without going back to the list (I think it was 'next' and 'last' on the ww boards)? Can you see which discussions you posted on? Can you sort by latest discussion post…
