  • Good afternoon GOAD! I've been laying low since a virus kicked my but a week ago. Went to bible study this morning to see how I felt. Will definitely be doing the minimum for a while yet, I need a nap!
  • Me too! Need more healthy habits, structure, and accountability!
  • Great job getting back on track and staying with it Charlie! You're an inspiration!
  • Good evening goad, and HNY! 🎉🥂🎉. Nice to see so many of you still here.
  • Checking in! Love this idea! Thanks for swinging by FB with the invite Al. I'm in, weighed this a.m., and am not sharing my number 🤦🏼‍♀️. So many regrets but they don't help, so, putting that aside and moving forward. I would really like to reach goal this year and work maintenance. But wishing and hoping aren't getting me…
  • I vary a lot, but go in streaks. Sometimes I'm eating later in the morning and go for leftovers. Other times overnight oats. Lately eggs, scrambled with various protein, veggies, and seasonings. Usually a tiny bit of ketchup. And some fruit if it's cut up (I'm lazy in the a.m.). Occasionally 1 SP toast with it.
  • Congrats @crewahl ! Love the new total 🎉🎉🎉
  • I've been a bit MIA this last week and a half, but I did get a chance to read thru the posts yesterday. There's so much good info in there, and this week is also busy (getting ready to leave Fri for a weeks vaca), so this will likely happen when I get back, but I'm so glad it's not going anywhere, and I can review it in my…
  • Up 1.4 this week, but that's with being up 5#s at one point this week, so I'm feeling like it's more of a blip. Next week will tell... 6/26 Wk 1 - 8/14 Wk 8 total -10.6 Lose #10 Challenge 1 ✔️ 🎉 8/14 Wk 8 -10/9 Wk 16 total -20 Lose #10 Challenge 2 ✔️✔️🎉 10/16 Wk 17 - 01/29 Wk 31 - total -30.2 Lose #10 Challenge 3 ✔️✔️✔️🎉…
  • Recap ... Tues I ate some extra points then white knuckle to STOP! Wed I didn't give a fig. Ate into the red (past weeklies) and did not care! On the bright side, I tracked and it wasn't mindless 🤷🏼‍♀️. Thurs was a two meal day with 9 DPs left. The reason, I decided to deal with my exhaustion in a different way and took a…
  • Up 1.4 ... It's been a crazy week!
  • DH used to always clean up his diet post Nov/Dec holidays, and drop 15 or 20, giving me a dirt buddy. Tho we have vastly different approaches, it was still nice to have the junk food out of the house. He hasn't done this in a few years, and I miss it! This is a very timely question though, since I've been contemplating…
  • This week has been busier than expected, so, going back to Sunday ... Decided Sat night to have the fam over Sun. So the dao was filled with shopping and food prep. I sat for 5 minutes and the kids started to arrive. Busy playing, and no appetizers out to tempt me. Dinner was ribs, mac & cheese, corn bread (new recipe and…
  • Yesterday was ... Interesting. Went to grandkid soccer games, didn't make time to eat first. Hungry when we got home at noon, so warmed up 0 sp mex rice w/2 pt cheese on top. Ate 1 sp popcorn a little later, and then met SIL at BBQ place for her birthday dinner (a little later than desired, but had to wait until after Red…
  • Today was like the rest this week except I used a few weeklies. The positive is that I made conscious decisions re. what I wanted to eat, no mindless grazing, and am not finding myself in front of the snack cupboard arguing with myself. This is making healthy eating toward my goal, much easier! Sad loss of many lives Steve…
  • If you're on WW, have you considered changing programs? Purple is awesome if you eat a lot of core/simply filling foods.
  • I've been doing well this week. 🔵 6 days. Sun was higher due to dinner being behind schedule resulting in hunger and grazing. I would have done things differently if I'd known how it would play out but 🤷🏼‍♀️. In the end I tracked accurately and was down to 1 WP. Worked to decrease portions and carry some WPs over. First…
  • I balance you guys out, down #1.0
  • A year for some, but not all of us. I joined in June. I'm ok to continue here. I really want that 30# loss back, and more! 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • I enjoy it and use it as motivation. BUT I also prepare for the scale to balance out a bit the next week, despite my best efforts!
  • Gosh @Al_Howard you mentioned doing what you can in another thread. Sounds like it's paying off! Love that quote @steve0mania . The world would definitely be a better place if we all looked outside of ourselves a little more. As for my day, it was stellar! I exercised, ate w/in points, and had a good WW workshop and WI. I…
  • My biggest struggle is resisting grazing when I'm socializing 😬. Otherwise I'm doing really well.
  • I honestly don't think I have self sabotaging thoughts. I tend to be a realist, and mostly optimistic. Also, I do a lot of encouraging in my volunteer work, so I think my inner voice has been pretty trained. On the other hand, I'll be curious to hear other's answers. I may have some light shed.
  • This total makes me think about yesterday. I had 9 DPs left, so I had an "opportunity" to eat ice cream or drink bourbon but instead resisted the temptation to feed my body things with no nutritional value, and seized the opportunity to have a bigger calorie deficit and, as Steve said, demonstrate how committed I am to my…
  • @cakeman21k congrats on your losing streak! Your RV trip sounds awesome! We also do a lot of our own cooking when we can (ie. a week in a condo). It really helps me to keep things low point, activities up, and splurge on regional specialties (ie. I'm not going to Nashville w/o BBQ and a trip to Puckett's LOL). As far as…
  • Today, Tues, was stellar! Exercise was 4/5. Was going to do the 5th but DH, well, doesn't really matter. I can avoid this by getting it done earlier in the day while he's working. Diet was great. I didn't eat until 2:30 because I was trying to win a diet bet. I did not! BUT I did manage not to over eat, (portions or…
  • Right there with you guys! Especially the sound of the knots in my neck popping 😬
  • ✔️in As I mentioned in another thread, I've noticed "the sigh" of satisfaction these last couple weeks (I've been more mindful), but haven't listened, so today I tried a new approach. I greatly reduced my portions. For breakfast and lunch, I ate 1/2 of what I planned. Dinner was 1 keto friendly bun (1st time buying and I…
  • I've been noticing that sigh lately (last couple weeks)! I mean, I actually noticed it! And listened to it ... rarely 🙁. Due to this realization, I have instead resorted, just today, to smaller portions! We'll see how it works. More in that 'task' post.
  • Spring brings the start of, fresh and local, fruits and veggies, to MI. I love the steady change of 'in season' produce over the next 6 months or so, the first being asparagus! I try to enjoy each healthy choice at it's best, and it definitely helps with the volumetrics approach mentioned in another thread!
