Whatever I'm done with these forums. My way works OP and if you want more info hmu or add me so you can see my food diaries. I'm sick of arguing with these flat earthers.

While I don't use these kinda meds myself (on a lchf diet the effects would be disastrous) I think the principle is similar to an alcoholic taking that med that causes a violent physical to alcohol. For some people, it helps to increase their will power if they know there will be an immediate negative effect. I'm not…

"Your body may also turn to lean muscle mass for energy in order to conserve its valuable fat Stores" Reread the article, that's the second time I've quoted that

"Your body is equipped with its own starvation defense mechanism, which has evolved over millions of years to protect you during times when food was scarce -- a problem most people don't have today. When you take in too few calories to support activity and normal physiological functioning, your body adapts by reducing the…

So we can't accurately predict how many calories burnt but know we must be under it? That's absurb. As I pointed out, its incredibly difficult to measure calories used so how would a person consume less than they burn when you don't know how much you burn? Also with calorie deficit you can consume too few and trigger your…

I feel ya OP, before my diet started in July I was the same way. I live in Colorado and have replaced ambien with a "more natural option". So in the evenings after I medicate I used to have horrible munchies, I'd bake and eat an entire roll of cinnamon rolls, or a complete case of donuts stuff like that. And it sucked at…

There's no way she can answer that question based on the information you wrote.[/quote] :) That is exactly my point. Its very difficult to determine calorie consumption. Too many factors go into that equation, everything from resting heart rate to the temperature, to the size of your bladder, the location of your bathroom,…

Why on earth would you eat Chinese food when trying to lose weight and while taking a weight loss medicine?! I absolutely love Chinese food, but I've only had to give it up as part of the diet. The amounts of sugar, carbs, msg and salt etc in Chinese food makes it a less desirable option when trying to lose weight unless…

Let's test this theory. I'm 6 ft tall, I'm male I weight 152.2 pounds of this morning. I'm a network administrator who doesn't go to the gym or work out at all. So how many calories do I burn in a single day? To have a deficit I should use more than I consume, so how many do I burn & how many should I consume?

Well you got one thing right, no magic has taken place. Science has taken place. Without the carbs to burn for immediate fuel my body has turned to burning its stored fat reserves and released a chemical called Ketones into my blood stream, this process called Ketosis is a known proven medical FACT. Yes there are other…

You can ignore my advice or take it. Either way I'm down 40 pounds, 5 inches off my waist. Also, I never said avoid dairy, I actually suggested cheese sticks as a snack, and heavy cream for coffee. So please don't put words in my mouth. The tips I provided have been effective for me, and are the same general principal…

Well congrats, you've taken the first step. You know you want to change and you got this app. So kudos! Here's my advice for what its worth. Start small, little changes can have huge impacts. Soda (even diet) should be removed from your diet. Pick up a bag of no carb, no calorie sweetener and use it in coffee, tea, baking,…

My advice would be to spread your calories out more, if 1200 is your goal break that up so you have 400 calories per meal. Pushing your dinner time back a little bit may help too that way there's less time to be hungry between when you eat and when you go to bed. My last piece of advice will no doubt cause people to go…

I answered her question. The answer is yes it is possible. If you think the truth is bad I'd recommend getting a clear piece of glass medically inserted so you can see. :) she asked, I answered. I'm done with the forums on this site. Frame of mind is important, and negative attitudes are counter productive. Yes the OP can…

Neither does the "because I can't you shouldn't" advice I keep seeing

I've found that coconut oil is a good source of calories without carbs, you can add it too coffee, cook eggs with it, all kinds of uses. I read some where online that our bodies process the type of fat in it first so it doesn't get stored. I am NOT Saying that's true, only that I read it. Either way, great source of…

She didn't ask if she should, I never said weither she should or not. Nor did I give her any advice on how to do it. I answered the question she asked. As you are NOT her doctor, you know nothing about her preexisting health conditions, metabolism rate, medications she's on that could effect her weight loss, any of that…

Say what ya want, it works for me. Works very well and I didn't give out any advice, at all. I simple said it's possible because I've done it. I never said how or offered any advice. Just answered her question that it is possible. Bye Felicia

In the words of Taylor Swift "Haters gonna hate hate hate hate"...no I didn't no start morbidly obese. Yes I'm a dude, I started at 6 ft 193, down 21 pounds in a lil over 2 months. And since I didn't describe how I did it, the person who suggested I did it unhealthy does know that one way or the other. So again OP it can…

God I wish I knew how to post a pic of my progress chart. I'm down 21 pounds in like 65 days without any exercise. So yes it is possible, best of luck and feel free to message me directly if you have any questions.

I'm doing the double combo, low carb and low cal, I'm @ 30g carbs per day and 1200-1500 calories. I'm in deficit for sure, I've lost over 20 pounds in 2 months, and I'm very rarely hungry, I usually have to make myself eat just to make calories. Also when I get the munchies now instead of eating a whole package of cinnamon…

Google keto recipes, there's a ton of them out there from breads to pizza to desserts, all low carb. Quickest easiest first step is Suclarose, available in the baking aisle of your grocery store. Use it in place of sugar in every thing, coffee, tea, any recipe that calls for maple syrup, sugar, honey, etc. It's 0 carb and…

Depends on how you mean "see". On the scale I saw the first 5 pounds within 3 days. I didn't see any physical changes until the last couple of weeks and I'm on day 66. I did notice yesterday that my new jeans (which I bought as 33s, one size smaller than normal) are already 2 inches too big at the waist and I'm having to…

I count carbs (under 30g) and calories 1200-1500 and so far I've lost 21lbs in 65 days

Each person is different when it comes to diets and losing weight. I personally have found that a Keto diet (low carb, high fat) around 1200-1500 calories works for me, I can stick to the diet without feeling hungry or like I'm deprived of the things I want to eat and I've lost 20 pounds in 2 months with no exercise. This…

Black coffee isn't a dietary problem, just watch the stuff you add to it (milk, creamers, sugar, flavoring) those can really pack in carbs and calories very very quickly. As for the bread, Google paleo and keto bread recipes. I found one online that uses coconut flour and equals out to less than 7 carbs per slice.
-
Yes, eat. I've found coconut oil is a good source for added calories without carbs, add a couple tablespoons to a glass of cashew milk or almond milk. You'll need to blend it well because coconut oil solidifies at such a low temp otherwise it will be chunky
-
It's not the alcohol that's the problem, it's the form it comes in. Hard unflavored liquors have little to no carbs, so Jack Daniels, Tequila, Vodka, Rum, Bacardi, all are okay. Stay away from flavored stuff like Malibu, or schnapps. Don't mix drinks as the mixers, grenadine, sweet and sour mix, etc are all basically…

MFP told me the same thing calories wise. Once you cut out sugar, bread, pasta, soda, etc etc it's actually much harder to hit 1200 than you think. Start with replacing all sugar with a substitute that has no sugar and no carbs, I use Suclarose myself available in most any grocery stores in the baking section. I'm on day…

After reading some of the responses I went back and double checked, you guys are right about the black coffee, I thought it had 50 calories it does not. It's the tablespoon of heavy whipping cream that has the 50 calories, not the coffee. This app is calling the black coffee 0 calories. So to the OP, 0 calories, 0 carbs.…
