2 grams of protein per kg of bodyweight is the most your body can actually use and this is for top athletes. Anything more than that is a waste. Try to adjust your diet accordingly.

Strength training doesn't burn much calories, you'll have to do cardio(or eat less) if you want to lose weight at a decent pace. Good luck.

Kind reminder that low carb is worse for fat loss Than low fat. You will lose more weight, but that includes proportionally more water among other things. Will dig up the study if someone wants the source :)
