I don't want to blame winter, but it doesn't help. I get less activity, and am more drawn to cookies, sweets, and comfort foods. My lack of diligence is showing up on the scale in a big way over the past month and a half. I'm working this week on restoring my focus on better choices and tracking, tracking, tracking.

I'm not a fan of the TM, but I'll be on one this evening. It's 4 degrees outside with 17 mph winds. It will be sub-zero and dark by the time I'm done with work and able to run, so ... the TM is a necessary evil.

Finished week two. The good news: I got to do my runs in favorite old running spots in my old hometown. The runs felt great. Most of the time, to be honest, I'm not working out on off days. I've always been a poor cross-trainer. I want to start doing this simple 10 minute stretching/strengthening workout on non-running days.

Awesome! That's a great way to start. The C25K workouts are no cakewalk, so you want to be accustomed to walking 30-40 minutes at a pop before mixing in the run intervals.

I got nothing, but am reading the posts above with interest. Habit defense is really intriguing. First things first ...
