I'm nearly 5 months post partum and exclusively breastfeeding. I've lost 38 pounds since I arrived home after the birth. I wear a Fitbit, average about 6000 steps a day with the occasional dedicated workout and eat about 2200 calories. I don't sleep well due to night feeds and I have to say that is the thing that makes…

Lately it's been tomatoes, a cheesestring, rich tea biscuits, or a go ahead bar.

Yep, I've gone over diet choices regularly with the midwife, and checked nhs recommendations. Keto is definitely not advised during pregnancy. Really though, OP please speak to your doctor or midwife about diet plans. It's so important to get proper nutrition at this point, you're growing a person!

Orange juice and chocolate milk. Pre pregnancy there was red wine too, always French and preferably Bordeaux.

Turkey is my favorite meat and the thing I missed most as a vegetarian. Skinless lean chicken breast is a close second.

It's quite common in my open plan office to have snacks at the desk. We don't have designated break rooms either, the mini fridge is in each open plan setting. The microwaves are downstairs at the entrance. I can honestly say it doesn't bother me in the least if people snack all day at their desk, don't think I even…

I've always loved American cheese.

Salmon with mashed potatoes.

Going out for dinner, Las Iguanas! Fajitas, calamari, plaintains <3

Why? I would read it to compare calories against other pastry desserts...I really don't see the problem. I like pop tarts ;)

That's awful if true! I enjoy reading these forums but I'm getting tired of all of these knowledgeable posters being banned.

Thanks everyone! Today was another rough one. I'm planning my food diary better for tomorrow. Going to start the day with porridge, banana, and blueberries. I'm also going to try snacking more often, maybe raw carrots. I'm so happy I asked for advice on here. I feel relieved to know that this is normal. Whenever I read…

Can't edit previous post on this phone...just checked, fat is actually higher, more like 70-80 last few weeks. Thinking I need to try reducing fat, increasing fiber perhaps.

Thanks! It's possible I'm anemic again. I have been incredibly fatigued, but blame that on lack of sleep. I take the pregnancy vitamins which contains iron regularly as well. The midwife is going to give me the results from blood/urine tests when I see her next.

Really great advice, thanks so much! I'm in the UK, I see the midwife again in 2 more weeks. I'll ask her about this as well. As for fat, I've been getting about 50-60 grams a day. @Asher_Ethan that sounds like a good plan... especially the last 2 weeks lol

Forgot to mention, I'm 10 weeks. Thanks in advance for any advice! :)

I just want to thank you all for posting. I hope I will be as brave as you all some day. I've lost over 140 pounds. I still have around 15 or 20 to go. I am not happy with my body really and I feel very insecure with my partner. He loves me, but he's made comments that have at times, made me sad. I am going to rededicate…

I don't gain weight on vacation because I'm so active. I just came back from Normandy and am happy to see that I didn't gain an ounce... despite the la tourteau fromage, wine, lobster in butter sauce, croissants... :)

I eat it all the time, it's a decent price and pretty tasty (although the ordinary frozen sausages are just plain sad). Gram for gram I doubt it has the same protein as red meat but it's still a suitable lean protein source.

Have you checked to make sure your scale isn't broken?

I was vegetarian for about 3/4 years. I'm a pescetarian now and generally happy with it. I do get cravings for meat though. I think in time I may adopt the same approach as my partner which is pescetarian at home, occasional meat when eating out, or at someone's house. I decided to give up meat for many reasons which are…
