I absolutely agree with this statement. Carbs are a limit, protein is a goal, and fat is an extra to fill hunger/energy needs (always remember healthy fats like avocado, coconut oil, etc)

I always gain 8-10lbs of bloating and water weight on my period. It takes a few days for it to go away, but afterwards it seems to continue with weight loss. I do my best to stick to keto during my period especially, because the cravings to take me down they are so strong.

I forgot to mention, I no longer take the medroxyprogesteron! And the periods come semi regularly with no medicine now

I have diagnosed PCOS, with (before keto) extremely heavy periods and they were random. I was prescribed medroxyprogesteron to bring on a period every month so I didn't go through another 90 day straight heavy period again. Hi and thank you! Mine is just a tool to keep me on track for weight loss. So no specific number is needed, but it helps me try harder to stay focused when I feel like straying from keto. (A feeling I do everything to fight off)

The most cost effective blood monitor I have found is "keto mojo". They have some different kits with good prices that include strips, and I also have a $0.99 per strip price for life. I highly recommend checking it out and hopefully the price will be helpful for you.

I use it to make biscuits, it helps with my bread cravings, though it is a little pricey. I personally like it for biscuits, though I am not sure about any of the recipes on the box, I haven't tried them yet.

What I usually do is make "tisane", it's basically a tea made from lemon verbena. I do not use any sweetener though (to each their own) my bad cold are usually cut to 4-5 days instead of my usual 2 weeks long. I hope you feel better soon!

I really like Isopure zero. They are not grainy and a 3lb tub lasts me about a month and a half for $40 (I usually find the best prices on Amazon)
