If you're eating frequently, staying within your calorie limit, yet gaining weight, you probably have a hefty bowel movement coming up.
-
What kind of supplements do you use for potassium? Or was it increased by diet alone?

I have chronic constipation and hypothyroidism. I've noticed coffee helps me become more regular and also warms me up. Before coffee, I'll be very cold. Even my hands and feet will feel cold to others. Additionally, coffee helps me sleep. I used to drink it in the morning but always got sleepy afterwards so I started…

I've done IF before. I did not lose weight. And I almost went into a hypoglycemic coma... Now I eat throughout the day and am doing much better. Apparoach IF with caution (depending on any pre-existing medical conditions).

Interesting. So it was a potassium deficiency that was causing the extreme swings?

Sorry but I have to disagree. According to BMI, I'm currently several pounds away from being overweight. However, people always assume I'm a whopping 25-30 pounds less than I really am. 149 pounds. 5'6. Thigh gap, 25 in waist, and a size 2-4. My BMI is 24. This is why I urge DEXA scanning.

Vegetarian keto? Interesting. Thank you! And no, I'm not happy with my current weight. I'm 5'6 and started keto at around 117 pounds. I'm now slightly over 150. I'm uncomfortable when I pass 130. My highest weight was around 190. I was overweight since childhood and technically have been dieting since middle school. When I…

My seizures have reduced on keto. At the same time, I've developed lots of digestive issues (and gained lots of weight). It's not the keto flu. Before throwing a couple carb days in, I was very strict keto for over a year. But the weight gain became too much. On my app's weight logs, it shows a slow yet upward trend during…

I track on LoseIt app. Here's the trend I see. *eats 1,000-1,400 calories of meat, coconut oil, green veggies, cheddar cheese, etc* - (weighs 3-10+ pounds the next day). Trend continues. Is up over 10 pounds by the end of the weekday. Weekend comes around. *eats 1,400-1,800 calories of rice, fruit, oats, beans, egg whites,…

A weekly deficit yes. I calorie cycle and carb cycle. I go by weekly calories. I used to be keto (for my epilepsy) but couldn't sustain it long-term and gained 40 pounds on it so I threw in high carb days (2 or 3) each week.
-
My experience is exactly the opposite. I weigh daily and the pattern I'm noticing is that my 5-10 pound increases are the days after eating low carbs and high fat/protein/meat. My 5-10 pound drops are always the days after high carb and low fat/protein. Ironic lol.
-
My scale stays in the same spot 24/7 (wooden floor, corner of living room). Also, I calorie cycle and go by weekly intake instead of daily. That's why some days are much lower than others. The irony is, my big drops tend to happen the morning after a higher carb day.

Get a DEXA scan. They're really helpful!

I used to until I got horrible stomach pains, gas, cramps, bloat, etc. Now I either consume pure stevia or regular sugar. Artificial sweeteners wreak havoc on my intestines.
-
ER yes. I acknowledged that I should've gone to the ER earlier, which I did end up finally going this morning but all they did was diagnose me with symptoms and give me a bowel prep. Doctor, no. I mentioned earlier that the closest doctor (who takes my insurance) to where I live is a long drive, his earliest availability…

Thanks, I am really trying. Life isn't easy sometimes. Head injury, brain surgery and pacemaker (during childhood). Physically bullied in high school. Falesly baker acted, falesly thrown in mental facility, then almost arrested (all by a college I attended). Was found innocent less than a month later. Was homeless summer…

My doctor isn't available for a month. I ended up going to the ER (very early this morning). I won't wait 2 weeks to go to the ER again though (although I really wish they could be more helpful as opposed to treating symptoms with a suprep).

1. Nearest doctor is a long drive from where i live 2. I have no car (ex boyfriend stole it) 3. Am currently medically restricted from driving 4. I have limited insurance (one that many doctors don't take) 5. I did call a doctor that takes the insurance and soonest availability is a month 6. Wanted to know if anyone here…

After reading these comments, I plan to now.
-
This is good to know. Thank you.
-
That's what worries me even more. I know its not muscle. After reading the other comment of the mentioning of "food baby" it really concerns me. I don't want my intestines to rupture.
-
That's what I did previously. But then made a post on here that I wasn't satisfied because I'm a volume eater. The people who commented recommend increasing non-starchy veggies. I was still under and/or at maintainence (depending on the day). I'll often get the prepared bags of riced cauliflower and containers or bags of…
-
Even when on medicine it's still bad?
-
Crash dieting is eating barely below maintainence? I eat 1500-1600.
-
Yesterday. Had to use a lax though because I hadn't gone before that in 2 weeks.
-
I cant. When I'm bloated, it affects my posture especially when I'm cramping :(
-
No. I had a hysterectomy.
-
I do but it's currently being managed by meds. Or its supposed to.
