I’ve had the app for a while, quit using and am now back for the last few months. I’ve lost 85 pounds and have about 80 to go to reach my goal. Welcome back!!
-
Mine show newest first I think. I’m from Texas too and am using the app to help me lose weight. I just found communities a couple months ago so still figuring it all out.
-
I use the app to help me track macros as I’m on a huge weight loss journey. Started out over 300 lbs and now have faith and hope I will see the below 200 mark sometime this year!!

Hi Chizzy. Melody here. I’m losing weight too and wishing you strength and Balinese along your health journey!!

I could use some Inspiration. I’m 85 pounds in to a wanted 150+ pound weight loss. This is where it gets hard because you’re tired and struggle some days to keep your Big Why in mind. I try to be on MFP daily, and enjoy motivational posts and quotes. I just do not want the “Hey Doll” messages. 🤣. I’m 57 years old and…

I too often wonder what on earth I was thinking when I let my body go to the point of nearly being too far gone. My top weight was 306. I’m today sitting at 232.4. So “by the charts” I have 100 to go. I’d be thrilled to lose 75 more. I’ll honestly be thrilled if I can EVER get below that 200 lb mark. You’re not alone,…

I hate plateaus. I was told after a two month plateau to increase calories and add strength to my routine. I just did cardio. It worked. So I would recommend adding some calories. Hope it helps! I’m kinda in another plateau now but had COVID and got off my game, so trying to get back in line.

I’m Melody. 57 years old. Original 8/31/21 was 306. 4/1/22 was 233.2. I’m 232.4 today I think. Getting harder to lose the weight now as I go. I usually weigh daily but just post weekly as I retain fluid and take a diuretic daily. So to “count” a loss I make sure it is sustained a few days. I’m really starting to try and…

@LisaInArkansas, I have a sister and all of her adult kids etc in Mena Arkansas area. They seem to have worse tornado threat there than we do here in the central area of Texas!! I do have a mobile home on 13 wooded acres so I had a concrete storm shelter installed. I am not ashamed to dive in that thing when tornadoes are…

I just found this group and am loving the April post. I’m so grateful for the progress I’ve made as I’ve been morbidly obese all my adult life. 75 down, 75 to go!! My word for 2022 would have to be perseverance!! 57 years old, finally getting it done! Melody, from Central Texas. 😁

Well, I’m loving this post for one reason alone; I now know I am not alone in this “pannus predicament.” I’ve lost 75 lbs and though smaller, I fear I was obese for way too long and it will never retract. I call mine Bertha the Brisket!! I’ll be following to see success stories!!!! I have about 75lbs more to go to reach…

Please ask your doctor for a consult with a diabetic focused nutritionist. They should be able to help you figure this out because there is so much to learn when your newly diabetic. As a general rule, stick with whole grains and the mess processed the better. But just as an example; someone posted above oatmeal worked for…

Evaporated milk would probably have more lactose than cream as cream is high fat, lower lactose. I’d use the coconut cream mentioned by some or potato starch (to thicken a bit) if you’re not too worried about carbs

Well, that was rude of him to say!! I don’t care what kind of walk you have. Anyway, I feel your frustration and pain. I’m 57 and have lost weight and out it back on several times in life. I’m doing it differently this time and am feeling better about it. Just keep getting up each day and doing at least one thing that…

It’s like going through a period of grief. Soon you’ll find things that fulfill you and you and your kids will find ways to keep in touch. Just give yourself time to feel the feels while not stagnating. Look for new and healthy recipes, get out and exercise in nature, find some things to do you didn’t get to do as much…

Go to your goals and at the bottom it says something about action calories. You have to turn it on.

I'm with you! I'm 51 and started out right below 300 lbs. I'm down to 250 but this season has been hard. I had seen 149 and am slipping back up. I was exercising six days a week and my back went out (chronic problem). I was bedridden for a week and still having difficulties in doing things. I love to cook, love food and it…
