  • I just noticed it has 163.0 active calories and 1439.0 resting calories. I think that is where I was getting messed up. Based on your message above 163 calories is about right for 1.5 miles. Thank you!

  • Thank you all for the great advice. I spend every minute I can with my son. Given the advice from you great folks, I am going to add additional activity during my day and incorporate a "walk and talk" session with my son after dinner. It will get us outside, exercising, and chatting about the day.
  • I have a standing desk at work. I found that my posture is horrible when standing at my desk so I am very conscious of "how" I stand. I also bought a inexpensive a portable stair stepper, it is great to get a few steps in while I'm standing at my desk. The arm is under $200.00 and the vari desk pictured is under $400.00

I have found that if I have an urge to eat I ask myself "am I hungry or bored/stressed/etc" If I am hungry I will try to grab some vegies, fruit, or something light (along with plenty of water).
