  • Being sick is also a challenge with diabetes. It's great for not going over calories because it takes away my appetite, but it does cause my blood sugars to drop. I have a cold right now and eating is the last thing on my mind when I'm sick, I usually just wanna sleep and take medicine.
  • Same here. I'm not a fan of this weight loss situation while having type 1 diabetes, it's just making this more difficult. I've been doing this all year and I'm still at the same weight I started with because I keep going over my daily calories AND using those other calories for treating my low blood sugars. I'm obsessing…
  • Thanks. :]
  • haha That's okay. I never know either.
  • Whitehall The weather here is like my blood sugar. haha
  • You'll probably need a fitbit account. For me, I had to setup a fitbit account so I can sync my fitbit data to fitbit, then I went to the apps page on here and clicked on fitbit, it asked for my permission to connect my accounts and obviously I accepted, then after that they were both connected and now my fitbit…

I ate a nice plate of chicken by itself 4hrs ago and I haven't been…
  • I have the fitbit blaze, I really love it. Although, I hate how uncomfortable the wristband is, so I'm thinking about getting a zip to wear on days that I don't feel like dealing with the wristband bothering me, at least until I can find a better wristband for it. I've noticed the fitbit counts steps if I'm laying in bed…
  • That's awesome! I never really understood carbs, so I pretty much eat like a normal person. Everytime I ask my current doctor questions, especially about my diabetes, she never understands what I'm trying to ask her. My insurance just switched me to syringes a few weeks ago after being on the pens since I was 10, so I've…
  • I've had type 1 diabetes my whole life (and so did my dad). I didn't realize how hard losing weight AND being diabetic is! I've gained a lot of weight these last few years and then it became a problem. So now I've been using this site on and off for over a year now and I still haven't lost any weight. I've done everything…
