Good luck on your journey. As Bubba mentioned, you need to choose healthy meals and snacks. Consider it a new healthy lifestyle. Also, if you are able to exercise, 30 minutes or more of exercise is a great thing to do also. You can do this. One step at a time, one day at a time. :)

My daughter introduced me to Kind Healthy Grains Granola Bars. They are healthier for you and better than grabbing a candy bar or pastry. My favorite is Dark Chocolate Chunk which is 150 calories and 5 grams of fat. There are other delicious flavors as well. I get them at Walmart. :)

I don't know if you are fond of cereal, but I love Special K Red Berries or Special K Fruit and Yogart Cereal, with 1/2 cup of skim milk. If I am still hungry, I have a Mandarin Orange, as well. :)

I joined mfp back in 2012. I did pretty well for a while, then during the holidays(2016) I got of track.I have since got back on track and am doing pretty well. Our little granddaughter, Emma calls her Pappy and I Granny and Pappy, but today when I picked her up from school , she called me Grandma. I love my grandchildren! The are a gift from God. :)

I bought snack size candy bars for my husband and I with intentions of eating just one, but it got out of control and we started eating 2. We do keep them in the freezer. Out of sight. We are doing better. :)

My husband and I try to watch our salt intake, we either use black pepper or a salt free seasoning called Mrs Dash, which comes in different flavored spices. Very tasty. :)

When my husband and I have pizza, we put the leftovers in the refrigerator and heat it up in the microwave. Its not to bad reheated. :)

Hi Abbyweaver1, I did the same. I couldn't resist the Frito's scoops and jalapeno cheese. And Yes GOD IS GOOD and we will do better. Everyone one needs a little something yummy once in a while. LOL :)
