I was a child. My parents didn't really monitor what I was eating. I would go to food as a comfort and wasn't really aware of the amount I was eating, or what it would do to my body. I was obese for most of my childhood. I had reached 316 lbs by the time I was 15, which is what scared me into losing weight. The shock of…

7 days is the longest I would go

I always try to use a scale when I can. Living on campus at uni and having to have my meals in the cafeteria makes it hard though lol I try to overestimate the cals instead of underestimate, so I'm still losing weight. Food scales make things so much easier though

Hey, I'm vegan (: My diary is open and I would love to have more plant based/vegan friends on here
-
I had a garden burger with bbq sauce and some sweet potato fries

It's never a wrong time of day to eat fruit. Fruit is the last thing you want to worry about overeating
-
I usually have a toasted English muffin with peanut and a banana, or oatmeal with peanut butter, hemp seeds, and fruit, or a toasted bagel

Do NOT supplement omega 3. Focus more on keeping a healthy omega 3 to omega 6 ratio. Examples of omega 3: chia seeds, hemp seeds, walnuts, flaxseeds, brussel sprouts Examples of omega 6: soy, pecans, sunflower seeds, nut butters

I dislike it when people say that you shouldn't worry about your sugar unless you have a health problem. Eating high amounts of sugar over time will give you health problems. It won't make you gain weight if you're in a deficit, but it's detrimental to your health unless those sugars are coming from whole sources like…

A general rule that my dietitian told me was that 1. Sugar from natural foods like fruits and veggies don't count towards your sugar intake. It's impossible to overeat on those sugars unless you eat 10k+ cals a day because the properties in plants let you break it down differently 2. To be healthy, added sugars shouldn't…

Keto is an unhealthy diet in general based on basic biology. It starves your brain. So idrk why it matters if it hurts your liver.

Black bean burgers 🤤

You miss cheese because they line it with a chemical that's addicting. You won't miss it after awhile. Trust me. It can seem like a vegan lifestyle is really restricting at first, but it's really not. It's new. It's drastically different. It can take awhile of experimenting before you find foods that you like. I'm always…

Have you had any blood work done? Vitamin and mineral deficiencies can make you feel fatigued. Examples being vit D, magnesium, vit b12 (everyone should take this supplement anyways tbh. Over 50% of Americans are deficient)

95.8 pounds

I'm transitioning! I'm almost there with the occasional milk based ingredient

If you're going over just because of fruit, I wouldn't worry about too much unless you're starting to double it continuously. Sugar is sugar, and it's important to make sure you're not consistently getting too much, regardless of whether you have health problems. People always think "I'm fine right now so I'm not going to…

I only buy the Quorn nuggets and "meat" grounds because they're so high in protein and I really struggle with getting enough
-
Fiber: apples, plums, cranberries, whole wheat nut breads, quinoa, fortified burrito shells (mission is a good brand) Iron: beans, nuts, leafy greens like spinach & kale, pumpkin/sesame seeds, potatoes, dried apricots, split peas
-
My favorite go to is a spinach base, 1 sliced hard boiled egg, sliced carrots, sliced bell peppers, whatever vegetarian meat I have on hand and then a small drizzle of ranch or some kind of light dressing

A spinach & artichoke pie

The "crime" I feel when I eat something "unhealthy" is if it causes me to have taken in too much of something like fat, sodium, etc because I feel like I'm just hurting my body and health. It's like a crime to myself lmao
-
I recommend no based on these things I learned in my human biology class and from my dietician: the brain uses carbs as it's main source of energy, initial weightloss is caused from loss of water weight in your muscles, having too much fat compared to protein and carbs is what causes diabetes if done continuously over…

I had half a cup of dried cranberries and beans. Does that count

There's actually been recent studies that support that eggs can help lower the bad cholesterol in our bodies. (That doesn't mean that people should go all out and eat like 10 eggs a day though)

I'm a stickler with sodium. It probably goes over 3000 about once every 4-5 months. On average I have 1200-2300 mg per day. Our blood pressure may be fine now, but too much sodium over time can change that for when we're older. Gotta think about the big picture.

Restaurant food in general

What about having a small snack instead between meals? Small = 100-150 cals
