That's what it is! Was trying to figure out what I've been doing differently since I moved aside from poor sleep and late eating. I haven't done any heavy lifting because I left my weights behind.

It varies but for the most part I try to stay in a deficit but with my burned calories. Some days I eat more other days I'm way under cause wacky schedule. Some days I'm working 12 hours on about 4 hours of sleep. As for sufficient abdominal muscle mass...I have lower pooch for sure. Lol

Yep, no way to get rid of it but black hides it. Even with moisture wick clothing you'll end up with butt sweat. Heck, I'm running in freezing temperatures and still end up with butt sweat.

I've slipped when it's dry out, so I'd say yes. I try to avoid the rain mostly because chaffing sucks.

I wear bright clothes, LED lights that strap around my arms, legs, etc. A cheaper route is buy some glowsticks, you'll look like a one-person rave but it works.

Only if it's a dog friendly event, vet Okays it and you train together. Mine has short legs and can't really keep up for long distances.

I've thought about it. My aunt is, she does several Ironmans a year on top of marathons and other triathlons. She's been trying to get me to move up to that level. Right now I'm just a runner and I'll be happy if I survive my first marathon. Plus I can't swim.
