  • I'd love to join this group also. I started on Jan 7th with 100 lbs to lose - BMI of 44.6. As of today I have lost 32 pounds and my BMI is down to 39.1. Yahoo. Working on losing another 70 lbs (at minimum). I'd love to be part of a good supportive group.
  • Thanks for sharing your story. It is a reminder to all of us that the body has an amazing ability to heal itself, if we allow it to do so. Thanks for the inspiration to continue on this journey to health through weight loss. I wanted to ask how long it took you to be able to walk without pain?
  • Congratulations on your weight loss. It is truly inspirational. What did you do to achieve such success? Tell us more.
  • Hey, how is everyone doing? I noticed that it has been about a month since anyone has checked in. I'm at 105 days in and 32 pounds down. My joints are feeling much better, but I am still not doing much walking (even though the snow is gone). I do get out into the garden and do some digging and raking and such. I'd love to…
  • Anyone still checking in on this thread? Its 105 days for me, and 32 pounds down. I just reread my earlier post and realize that I still need to work on the same behaviours. Being mindful of the quantity I eat, and chewing my food slowly and thoroughly. The last few weeks I have started to hurry again. When I slow down my…
  • I've been stalking this group for a while. I lost some pounds, so I tried on some clothes that were stored away (from when I was briefly this weight a few years ago. They're pretty basic so still look in style.) Then I took some of the clothes that are now too big for me, and donated them to my mom and shortened them for…
  • @Longing4Maui Keep it up. You are doing great. Working on my next 30 pounds down to get to the 200 mark. We can do this together.
  • 29.6 pounds down, so close to 30 pounds - my first mini goal. I'm going to work on my next 30 pounds off. I am really focussing on how much I eat - still putting too much on my plate. Also will work on getting more walking and stretching in.
  • We have got the whole yard raked up and the winter debris was hauled away. Things are looking clean for a week or two but I see signs of weeds starting to spring up. The daffodils and irises are coming up, the peonies are starting to poke up their heads and the crocuses are in bloom. The trees are starting to bud up, and…
  • Felt so good to get out into the garden and start doing some spring clean-up. It was 16 degrees outside and sunny. It also helped me get 10,000 steps in.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss. You look fantastic, and so happy.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss. I noticed how much longer your neck looks. I was told today (while getting a haircut) that I had a short neck. I hope it appears longer when I lose all this weight, about 100 pounds. You look fantastic.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss and your fitness regime. You look fantastic.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss. You look fantastic.
  • Down 24 pounds. Getting out into the garden now that it is warming up. Still snow on the ground though, so still not walking as much as I plan to when its gone. Need to work on getting more exercise. Eating is going pretty good. Have had a few days where bad habits creep back in, but mostly on the positive side. Cheers.…
  • mscheftg I can relate to this. I started at 260 pounds, and set my desired weight loss to 2 pounds a week, with a sedentary activity level. MFP suggested 1200 calories, but I knew that I would not be able to continue at this level. So I also checked other calculators and determined my caloric intake on TDEE - for my weight…
  • That's excellent. I heard that once on blood pressure medication, you would never come off. Glad to hear it may not be so.

  • New to this group. I've been following for a few weeks but haven't posted. I really like the quilt, Cris Eb True. I am looking forward to doing some quilting myself. My husband just finished renovating a room in our house for me to use as a sewing room. Feeling really grateful for that and for my wonderful husband. Next…
  • I was first diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia. My doctor had me taking 3 times the regular dose of iron to get my levels back up, but it wasn't working. He had no answer as to why not, so I started researching on good ole' Dr. Google. Celiac disease kept coming up so I asked the doctor if this could be a possibility.…
  • Eatingwell.com = healthy recipes
  • Check out the Eating Well Website. Loaded with lots of healthy recipes and foods. I've been making lots of recipes from this site, and the great thing is the recipe usually includes the nutritional information and often, it is already listed in the add food search. win, win.
  • I'm still here too. Down 18 lbs since Jan 7. Its been chilly outside so I've been walking around and around in the house. I get an average of 7000 to 10,000 steps just in daily activity and walking inside. Looking forward to going outside once the snow melts. There's no sidewalks in the neighbourhood where I live, so can…
  • Suzieque25 I think it is wonderful that even at 70 you are still celebrating your love. <3 <3 <3 Enjoy your dinner and have a great weekend.
  • Dislocating your joints can be a real thing. My husband dislocated his shoulder one night while sleeping. Physio therapy aggravated the situation even more. They didn't really believe it was dislocated and had him doing lifting exercises with weights. He was in agony. Luckily, he was able to pop it back in (with my help)…
