  • I like the bells and whistles. Calorie goal by meal, time stamps, unlimited history reports and I will export data to excel to calculate my base calorie burn. I’m saving more than $10 avoiding restaurants so no big deal to me.
  • I use the Nike Run Club app for about 5 years which is fine but have used MapMyRun too. I set the pace feedback every 1/4 mile so that it is frequent but not maddening. I am no elite runner so I am just looking to keep myself honest.
  • I really have had almost no issues with the apple watch and MFP. A random day here and there MFP doesnt get my workout from Nike Run Club app or even MapMyHike but that is rare. I almost always run with my phone though and not the watch stand alone. I am on sedentary (office job), disabled negative calorie adjustment, log…

It also looks better and has way more bells and whistles plus the native apps on the iphone are easy. I almost always have my iphone with me but recently started running with just the watch.…

  • I can do either but prefer Coke Zero... now called Coke Zero Sugar. Diet has an after taste. Reg Coke is too sugary. Like drinking syrup.

  • Two pieces of advice: 1. Sign up for a few local 5k/10k races along the way so that you have mini-milestones - can seem monotonous training for a payoff months away. 2. STRETCH STRETCH STRETCH. Spend a few minutes stretching your legs when you are done with a run. Seems small but its the easiest thing to blow off and the…
