  • I have three different spiralizers, I have the hand held but I don't like the little log left over that I can't slice. Then I have a different hand held one but it's so hard to stand and turn the zuchini thru it,so I bought a big starfrit one that you crank. Better, but it is big and bulky for storage. Now, there is a new…
  • Haven't checked in for a couple of days, was really hungry yesterday and went above my calories but, I kept my carbs well below 20 and today hardly hungry so that's better.
  • @Sunny_Bunny_ I'm saving this photo to send to my brother. He's a food evangelist. I may become one too. :)
  • Another great day! I think I did my macros darn near perfect.
  • Just like you, I'm new and not seeing tons of weight loss. I did drop initial water weight but it's like watching molasses when it comes to the scale. I just don't care, (mostly) because the other benefits are kicking in. I feel good, positive and motivated. Probably a bit of depression I never noticed. My eyesight is…

  • Thanks! Wonderful post. :)
  • Just a bit of minced onion added, serve with a bit of sour cream and you have fauxtato patties that really are delicious.
  • Great day! Carbs at 6 net. Decided to eat mostly meat for a while. I did put cream in my coffee and had a bit of cheese. Oh and my stick of gum.
  • Well if you're crazy I'm on that train. Oh they do try. I was feeling great, not hungry, then I went into a convenience store to get something for a client and WHAM, I felt almost punched in the gut with hunger looking at a peanut butter cup. I got the heck out of there. It can be very physical as well these psychological…
  • Ralflott, I'll be watching those videos and yeah the 10 minute rule is probably a good one. The whole eat when you're hungry thing doesn't work for me, I don't know when I'm hungry, haven't for years. Lucille, thanks for that interesting info on ghrelin and the 10 minute rule. I am trying to do intermittent fasting I'm…
  • Staying on course. Went out for lunch today, there was nothing on the menu I could really eat, until I saw an eggplant and cheese dish. Wouldn't you know it came out all covered in panko. bleh, didn't eat it, waitress brought me a nice salad in exchange.
  • I can't tell you where to find what you're looking for because finding long sleeved tops has been a difficult thing for me too. I have arms like Arnold Schwarzenegger and I do not want those uncovered. Yet time and again, I find sleeveless tops in the plus stores. Blows my mind.
  • Congrats and enjoy it! :)
  • |HAHAHA both would be good!

  • I've been doing keto for 1 full month now and I'm so very happy that not even once did I go over my carb limit of 20 net carbs. it's taken me a bit of time getting used to upping my protein but I'm on track and actually enjoying myself. Enjoying myself and trying to lose weight has never gone together for me. So amazing.…

  • Salmon can get kinda dry when cooking; unless wrapped in bacon as above, but I prefer to just wrap mine in tinfoil, put butter and whatever herbs you care for, dill is nice, and cook it in the oven. It stays moist and is really tasty. If there is leftover salmon, you can saute some mushroom, onion and a bit of celery toss…
  • Freezer cooking is the best. It saves so much time and makes meals so much easier. I'll be doing chicken legs and thighs tomorrow.
  • I'm not even close to goal weight and very far from that, probably 80 lbs away. For the past three weeks I have been so good, but the scale has not been reflecting that. I just keep telling myself it'll happen eventually. I also found out I've got a problem with my thyroid which makes sense. So, now taking pills for…

  • Another good day, my macros were good. I've managed to up the protein, my carbs are always under 20 and I just don't worry about the fat. I am full, so all is well.
  • I went over on my calories today, but not carbs, I just ate a bit extra to make sure I got my protein. I'll be under at a few points this week to make up for it. I am really surprised how easy this is for me, normally, the word diet has me thinking of cheating. Now, I think.. this is a lifestyle I can live with. I never…
  • I upped my calories today, I think I've been cutting it a bit too low and the last thing I want is to burn out. This is long haul. I also upped a lot more salt, I think I've been too fine with that as well. I haven't had any issues from it but I have noticed it's not as high as it should be. otherwise my macro's were…
  • Thanks everyone :)
  • Sounds good, and I don't have money to burn :p
  • Welcome!

  • Sounds like you're doing fantastic!
  • I plan on buying some tomorrow, I haven't yet figured that out. What protein powder are you using? Today tho, my protein is up and my macros are good.
  • Things went really well at my sons! I have decided to go and get myself some keto friendly protein shakes. I work around 70 hrs a week so planning has been a killer for the protein. I'm determined to do this right. Today I didn't have a lot of protein at my lunch meal, can of tuna. There is no way I can cram 12 more ounces…
  • Another good day, at least for my food intake. I'm heading off to see my son for the day tomorrow and looking forward to that. He knows about my WOE and is going to be cooking for me.
  • So happy for you!!! Congrats!!!! That boy needs a special treat.
