Food inputs
I've been mostly doing my inputs by hand looking up USDA nutrition facts. I decided to create a recipe on here for myself that I had looked up every ingredient. Every input, Protein, Carbs, Fat, and Calories exceeded the amount, sometimes significantly. Is there a better way? Doing it all by hand is very time consuming.

Diabetes and Intermittent fasting.
For those of you who have diabetes and do intermittent fasting do you wait to take your morning meds with food? Or do you just take them when you first eat. That leaves two doses pretty close together doesn't it?

Back on keto.
I was on keto for about 8 months over a year ago, and lost close to 60 lbs. I hadn't cheated at all in the 10 or so months I was on keto, but I had been doing so good, and I'll just cheat for Christmas came into my head, well Christmas came and went and I could not stop the carbs, I don't even know how often I started…

Subtle sabotage
After a month on keto WOE, there are some thoughts I'm noticing that, for me, have in the past led to complete sabotage but they're subtle. At least they have been to me, at least until now. I'm sure I'll discover more but for now these are the things that have tripped me up in my past eating adventures. I'm never "all in"…

Keto and Antibiotics
I've been sick the past ten days with what turned out to be a lung infection. I wasn't really worried about getting kicked out of keto because I was barely eating anything for a good week. Two days ago I weighed myself and had a two pound loss, but since then, I've been taking antibiotics for the past couple, and a steroid…

Food look up is whacked
I've been looking up foods, and generally google the source of the brand and then compare it to what's been inputted in food look up, the amounts for fat, protien, and calories vary greatly. Is there a way to input my own? I have been looking and I can't seem to find a way. Even if I try and imput my own recipe it goes off…

I'm a really bad patient and now freaking out.
I have an appointment with my Dr. Tomorrow. I'm also having a panic attack right now, so, I hope I'm not too dramatic. I decided to google, "How to talk to your Dr. about a ketogenic diet". I'm type 2 diabetic and I didn't tell my Dr. I was going on this diet. I recently had blood work and I'm going in to see the Dr.…

Unicorn butter
I've looked all over trying to find Kerry Gold butter and it appears to not be available in Alberta. Has anyone heard differently? Does it matter that much? If I can't get it, should I just use regular or cultured unsalted butter?

How am I doing? (or in other words am I doing anything wrong)
I've been worrying about how I'm doing so I thought I'd ask people here on the forum. Today I ate for breakfast at around 2:30 some egg salad which contained 3 eggs, 1 tbsp of onion, and 3 tbsps of mayonnaise that I made myself. The mayo did not turn out it was runny but I just used it anyway. For dinner, I was going to…

Controversy over net vs gross carbs?
I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere on here and I haven't yet found it. I'm a bit confused. I have heard people say count the gross carbs and some say it's ok to use net carbs. Now, I was adding to my food accounting 1 medium mushroom and it added 1 whole carb. I don't know whether it's ok to use net carbs or if I…

Hi there! New here.
Hi Everyone! I'm really new to LCHF. Like maybe 3 weeks. I'm so glad to find this group! I want to get my weight and my diabetes in check. In the past 3 weeks I've lost 3kgs or 6.5 lbs. At first I was staying under 75 carbs a day for the first two weeks and then I read, if you want to lose weight you should give 20grams a…
