  • Garmin Fenix 5x. I was a Fitbit user for years...every new model as they came out. Then moved to Garmin as my activity increased-been through 4 models of these until I settled on the Fenix. I’ve a small wrist so it is large but I’ve even contemplated moving to the Plus model for the O2 sensor. I only take it off to charge…
  • Hello Ladies of 50!! My Sweetheart and I turned 50 in July and we ran the Spartan Obstacle Races in Hawaii. Our goal was 50 miles for our 50th. It was grueling but worth every step-mile-bruise and pain 😂 I have been racing for the past 2 years. My bucket list was to see all 50 States in 50 years and Alaska is my last and…
  • Welcome to the Garmin family-I’ve got a Fenix 5x and love it! The Garmin community is a great tool to keep accountable with your activities as well. I like that it syncs to MFP as well as Strava. I like the segments on that as well. Set your goal and have some fun!
  • 10K/daily...I’m in! 381,178 steps and counting 😀 #10KClub #SteppinForFitness
  • Avid Garmin Connect user. Fenix 5x Sapphire. User name: Pantera6x2 Spartan racer-I’ve worn multiple Fitbits and moved to Garmin and the Fenix is by far my favorite of all! Big on my small wrist but the data-battery-durability...love it all!
  • Pantera6x2...join me on Garmin. My Garmin friends are always doing daily challenges to keep each other motivated and moving.
  • I have a Weight Guru scale and LOVE the app! I can tell you I paid way more than that for my scale and it was worth every penny- how exciting for you!!
  • Garmin fan here. Went from Vivofits to Vivoactive HR and now wearing the latest Vivoactive 3 and loving it! Heart rate tracker-waterproof-al the fitness activities and it’s a really attractive device. This one is by far my favorite.
  • Everyone be here has already said....LOG your food. EVERYTHING as it is essential for you to see what you're eating. Make sure to drink fluid. Hot or iced. Either way your body with work to cool it down or warm it up so your body can consume it at room temperature...if you're hydrating after a work out try room temperature…
  • As spartan_d said...embrace the burpee! It's not the run that gets you, it's the cardio and the obstacles. Watch the videos. Eat well, exercise more, push yourself and you'll do great! Welcome to the Spartan Tribe!
  • Definitely log ALL your activity at the end of the day. You've done them and deserve to see them. It will help you average out the days better. Great job doing more!
  • Garmin/MFP user. Spartan Trifecta in training, love to GORUCK, new runner. Motivate me and I'll motivate you! Let's be friends
  • I'm a happy soon to be 48 ...and darn happy about it! Working on my Spartan Trifecta and perhaps if time/location permits a Double Trifecta by the end of 2017! I'm an open book and a super cheery person
  • @Mom2KateRH ... tracking calories is a great thing. I think if you get a tracker you'll do so much more because they do more. I've worn several over time. Garmin vivofit, Up24, Fitbit Zip, Fitbit Alta, Apple Watch...and I've given them all up for the Garmin Vivoactive HR. And I couldn't be more thrilled with all of them.…
  • They are AWESOME! I've done a LIGHT event. Just did the Mission Day in TN along with the Scavenger. Going to the D.C. GORUCK event this July. And planning on the Anomoly ones the 12 hour and 4 hour. Prepping...its like crossfit and some long hiking. I'm a Spartan fan too so the GORUCK in comparison is a bit easier but…
  • What kind of data are you trying to transfer?

  • I have an Alta and I only see my steps when it gives Mwmrhe calories in the food diary. If you want real step tracking use the Fitbit app and just pair these two for end of day extra calories you can use based on activity.
  • I find I have to add my food into both Fitbit and MFP. It tracks my steps but not the food or activity. It's not a complete system. ☹️
  • I say choose whatever fracker based on what you plan to USE it for. I have an Apple Watch-love it! I also have a Fitbit Alta-amazing! I wear them all the time and one on each wrist. I shower and swim in them-never an issue. Been out GORUCKing and both hold up. Each do something slightly different. (For those that think…
  • I find the watch to be a snore accurate accounting. It takes into consideration your size , Gender and heart rate with each activity. The MFP is a generic calculator that doesn't take into consideration. I go by both Fitbit/Apple and find a happy medium in the middle. Most important is that you're active!
  • In the settings you have to synch them together. To give them access to "share data"' I have an Apple and it shares the info onto Fitbit.
  • Remember that everything is based of a generic calculator. The only true way is to know your stride length and maybe use a heart rate monitor. If you're walking then no-you won't burn as many calories as you think. I'm 5 ft and 110...I do 4 miles at speed of 4.5 and 1 mile at speed 5. According to my Apple Watch which…
  • I agree with both comments. Fitbit is an awesome reminder and tracker of your activity. Making friends-step challenges. It's all helpful-fun-motivating. Come join us!
  • LOVING my 40's! About to turn 48 and feeling great!! Working on those last stubborn pounds...let's definitely me motivational partners! If you're on FITBIT definitely add me!!

  • Anna...small meals/snacks throughout the day is great. Helps me cut the urge. I work from home so I got rid of all the bad and processed foods. I have a Shake for breakfast-snack-Shake for lunch-snack and then a decent dinner before 7pm and a tea in between dinner and bed. Do what works for you. But drinks water. Ice cold…
