They have a shuttle! The road is actually closed this time of year and only open for this event, so the only people at the top will be runners!

An 8 mile hill climb with a barbecue at the top! Very excited, really interested to see who else shows up.

A few things that help me: 1.Noticing that everyone around me seems to be beautiful 2.Noticing that everyone around me has “flaws” even though they are beautiful 3. Focusing on who I want to be, the kind of person I want to be and the decisions that will lead me to that. 4. Remembering we are all human, and there are many…

We have definitely saved money by eating out less, it’s much easier for us to eat healthy at home than out to dinner. Nice work on your progress!

Wow nice work!!!! Do you mind me asking about your results so far and how heavy your weights are?

Whew, I forgot how badly Jillian kicks my butt!! 30 Day Shred Day 2 I have never completed the entire 30 days, so I guess that is my goal here, to follow through...

Hi :) thanks for the response! It went really well! My goal was technically to just finish before they kicked me off the road :) but really I wanted to finish the entire race without walking (which I did!!) it was so slow, but definitely my biggest achievement ever... still in shock that I could jog 2hours and 48 min…

Happy birthday, and good luck!!

Well I finished my half today :) thank you for everyone’s responses!

This is so interesting, never considered this before...always just counted anytime I beat a time regardless of race... guess I need to start racing more!!
-
Ran my first half today! Didn’t walk a single time :) !!!!!!!!

No one can see you underwater and no one will know how well you used to swim so you are worrying about nothing. Once you get going you’ll remember why you loved it so much to begin with!

That’s incredible! Nice work !!! Treadmills are nice because we can set the pace and incline so it’s even and predictable so our pace isn’t affected by tripping on curbs and unexpected hills!!! I am in the same boat with the snow and ice, I agree I bet our times will improve because we have to watch our steps and stabilize…

I am training for a half right now too. I had read you were running the 5k in less than thirty.... so I tried to do one in 30 today to see if I could haha.... I did NOT. Are you male or female?

12,977 steps- nearly all were from my 6 mile run/walk as other that that I didn’t leave the house haha :)
-
... edited I noticed that others had mentioned my points!

When I was living in FL during the Summer/storm season we had severe lightening storms nearly every single day... I made sure to do as you did and run before or after they started and ran relatively close to my house so that if it started looking sketchy I would be close by. As you mentioned severe thunderstorms are NOT…

Just noticed my phone auto corrected Fredrik to Fredric! That’s embarrassing :(

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly, just finished A Man Called Ove by Fredric Backman.

I am, it’s a 10 week beginners half marathon plan my friend picked out, really strait forward and standard for a beginners plan. I haven’t missed a run yet, as I took the first week to test drive my schedule (I had only just found out about the race) and I am starting this week. Since it’s winter most likely I will miss a…

Thank you for this in depth description of how you handle the situation and the different circumstances. This was how I envisioned handling the different scenarios and was wondering if it was an okay game plan.

Recently had food poisoning, only puked three times, but I could tell my stomach/body/hydration/electrolytes were still off for 3 days. I recommend going back to it as soon as you feel 100% like someone else mentioned, better to take a couple days then go back to early and cause complications!

Yum I am drooling at the thought!! I wish they all came with hot chicken sandwhiches!! Mine comes with a free beer, but I don’t drink alcohol... so it’s a bit of a letdown haha

Signed up and paid for my first 1/2 marathon today! I have been wanting to do one for years and almost did one this fall, but moved back home. It’s on March 17th and I’m doing it with a IRL friend who is a consistent runner, so I am excited!

Thank you for sharing your experience with this. I always make sure I fuel up with a complete meal before and after for things that I know will take more out of me. That’s why I find it so interesting that I am still extra hungry at night. I am hoping that my body will become accustomed to it like yours. It’s weird because…

Glad I’m not alone! What does your exercise schedule look like to achieve this balance?
-
It’s usually later in the day, not immediately after. I just notice that I tend to be hungry again after a solid dinner on days I work out, but on days I don’t my dinner is plenty. You make a really good point about hydration, now that you mention it I could definitely be making this mistake!!

Pretty much everything. I do yoga, hiking, running, strength (both with weights and body weights), jump rope etc. I don’t do it all at once, just different things different days (I do yoga and other things on the same days, but I am in pretty decent shape and it’s only a 20 min beginners dvd). I’ve noticed the excess…

Hi! I also have a goal of 10k right now! Would love to be friends.
