Thank you again everyone for responding I'm getting such good information on here. You all are the best. Question: I read a list of foods to avoid if you have hypothyroidism. I was really disappointed, no broccoli or cauliflower. Do anyone follow a special diet?

I appreciate your response so much! I felt so alone and desperately searching online for Information. I appreciate everyone's response and will request more tests. My t3 was not tested only my TSH and t4. Can we please stay in touch. I appreciate you!

I went to the butcher yesterday and got my bacon. No more store bought for me. I'm getting the rest of my meat from the Amish market.

I'm baking cookies for my school tomorrow, I feel your pain. :( I have a plan.. I'm going to drink water the entire time and eat lchf food so I am full. Tonight I went out to eat with my family and it was so tempting not to eat the chips (Mexican restaurant) so I kept drinking my water and it helped. It is tough but we got…

I had my A1c checked, it was 5.7 and I'm pretty sure that I will be started on Metformin. I go to the doctors on Monday. I checked my blood sugar first thing this morning before I ate anything and it was 85.

Thank you, bametels!! I will give that a try for when I bake a dessert for Christmas.

Thank you so much, retire happy. I didn't eat sugar/sugar substitute in a long time but my Mom added honey to the recipe last night for the dressing and I ate it without knowing that she added honey. I was looking for an alternative but I have a really good recipe for homemade blue cheese dressing that is amazing and keto…

Hi, everyone. What is the best sugar substitute for diabetics? I'm borderline and haven't had sugar for almost a week but I want to make a dessert for Christmas and I also have a salad dressing that I love making but it asks for honey. Thank you so much everyone.

Thank you so much, KetoGirl83! I appreciate your response. I was panicking a bit because I never experienced that before and only read bad information.

My A1c was 5.7 and I have a doctors appointment on Monday to discuss all of my labs. I thought 5.7 was borderline, am I wrong? Does that mean I have diabetes? I'm sure my doctor will start me on Metformin.

Thanks for sharing! I will google the recipe.

Anyone planning Christmas dinner? My Mom sent out a group text to everyone and her menu included mac and cheese so I found a recipe that substitute the noodles for cauliflower. I might give that a try and find a low carb dessert.

Hi, everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself officially. I'm from NJ and my goal is to lose 85 lbs. I'm 5'1 and weigh 213 lbs. My goal weight is 125-130. I've been following Keto for 5 days. I try to stay under 20 carbs, 75-80g protein and the remainder fat. I'm enjoying this journey so much! I'm not sure if I'm in…

I have PCOS and borderline diabetic. Also, I'm anemic and my T4, vitamin D and hdl cholesterol are all low. I just got my results and waiting for an appointment with new PCP to figure out what I need to do. I do know that my weight is the cause for most of it. I don't know much about my T4 being low because my TSH is…

I'm doing 20g or less of carbs, 70g protein and remainder fat. I just started 3 days ago. Is this ok?

Thank you everyone!!! Such awesome information, I truly appreciate your help. I had really disappointing lab results and bottom line is I have to lose weight. I'm now being proactive and doing whatever it takes to lose this weight in a healthy matter. If I can add a supplement into my diet to assist will be awesome!

Thank you, Sunny. I will google some information on the supplements you are taking. From what I watched on YouTube, Ketopia makes you go into ketosis in one hour. Not really sure if it is safe or not to go into ketosis so fast. Still researching. Thank you, again. xx
