Thanks for the tips. I'm going to try the dumbbells tomorrow, but I can't do the behind the neck press, I tried not long ago after seeing videos for and against them, but I just don't have the mobility to do it properly anyway. Appreciate the input :)

That's solid advice, thanks. I've lived with this off and on for so long I tend to forget the easiest answers. That, and the last doc I saw was stuck on cortisone shots. Nothing wrong with that, but I don't think they were intended to be a monthly type shot.

They changed our forecast too. More. Lots more lol. Looks like a 4 hour workout tomorrow night and most likely a wicked snowball fight with my wife and daughter. >:) :) I usually lose, but it's still good fun. :)

I'll give that a try, thanks man. This has been diagnosed by the way. Been with me for a while, but I haven't strength trained for decades. I'm wondering if that's what's setting it off. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. :)

LoL, based on your OP I think your first order of business should be waking your roommates up with buckets of snow and ice :) and make them shovel. Take video when you do it please! :D

Even with the snow blower there's lots of shoveling to be done. In all honesty I used to hate it, and while I can't say I love it now, I do kind of enjoy it, in a masochistic kind of way :D All that work just opens the door wide for a great dinner that night. :)

I've got a nice case of DOMS from shoveling yesterday myself lol, and I'm in pretty decent shape. The rules of lifting any heavy weight apply to snow shoveling as well. Lift with your legs as much as possible, and just move what is manageable. It's better shoveling to take smaller shovel fulls and spend a bit more time…

My wife and daughter alternate using goblet squats, high rep bodyweight squats, dumbbell squats and a variety of lunges at times. they're all good workouts and the variety helps to keep boredom from setting in with 5x5s.

My daughter make a similar red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and filling a while back. It was a multi layer, sculpted cake and she asked me to be a taste tester. omg I almost didn't make it through that lol. We had Chinese take out tonight.
