From some research and reading advise on the thread i have learnt;4 1. You can lose weight without exercise as long as your in a calorie deficit (Weight is lost in the kitchen) 2. Exercise helps you burn calories and build muscle 3. Exercise helps you burn those extra calories if you have gone over your daily goal (If you…

I have been where you are now so like has been said try different things till you find a work out that you like..... surely there must be something out there that you can enjoy. I discovered skipping, aerobics and spin class i guess its the music in the background that makes me want to keep at it during a session.…

I think we need to first start by changing your mentality around this journey.

I was speaking about the doctor and he was telling me because i am an emotional eater as well and he said to me.. you need to treat the reason why you run to food for comfort otherwise all the diets and work out regiments will only work for a short time till you fall back to the same regiment of comfort food. Sounds like…

Juicing wont give you long term results..... I once tried it a a means to lose weight. I was so happy when i losing 2kgs per week but you cant live on juice alone. As soon as i started eating again the kgs just came back. Listen to what is being advised by the people on here. Unfortunately its the long method that yields…

I hate the treadmill too so i decided to try different types of work outs till i found the one i enjoy doing. Your exercise regiment should be restricted to the treadmill you can still try other ways or getting a work out in. If you enjoy it, you will look forward to doing it so get something you can stick to.

Ooops my apologies...... yes you will certainly achieve that. GOOD LUCK.

oooh wow!!! 50 pounds in 4 weeks that's like 22kgs. I don't mean to be a downer but i don't think its possible to lose weight that fast and keep it off. You will need to have a huge calorie deficit to achieve that goal. Nways my advise would be EAT CLEAN for the entire period and work out as much as possible. On a side…

thanks @jgnatca... i enjoy skipping and aerobics i will try and include that in my week.

I can totally relate with this. I don't like going to the gym i feel like its such a burden but from reading many posts on weight loss on mfp and my past experience with weight loss. I can see that the calorie deficit thing really does shed fat. I guess gym comes in to give you the muscles and make your toner. My doc said…

I think they do it because they fear to Say No yet they are clearly seeing that its killing them. Most of the enabler's are like parents, children and spouse's. Crazy episode i watched where the husband liked it that his wife was big and depended on him. When she started losing the weight he was so mad and they eventually…

I have watched it and it makes me realize how easy it is to get to 600 pounds. The transformations are amazing within a year or so most of them lose half their body weight. I think i watch too many weight loss shows the latest is fit to fat to fit... It good fun when you see the trainer suffer getting back to fitness at…

I'm actually a NWCR participant and I don't exercise, I didn't exercise at all during my weight loss phase either. Not saying exercise is bad or anything, it's just not a factor for me and I'm coming up on 4 years of maintenance :) OP-when I started this whole thing I was really overwhelmed with a new pre-diabetes…

Oooh thanks so much for talking about TDEE. Now i know my calorie intake is in a good range. I thought i was under eating.
-
Whenever you feel hungry try eating something like salad or fruit. This has worked for me so far.
-
Yes i totally know how you feel... Are you an emotional eater? Its common with emotional eaters. I would snap at everyone. I felt everyone just was out to get me. There is something about sugar that makes me happy. Nways i swapped ice cream for a ripe mango and it still gave me the same high i was seeking.

I am 198 pounds... dont think that puts me in the morbidly obese catergory but my goal is to reach 143. Yeah i guess im over doing it by aiming for 4 lbs a week but i want to aim for that and mayb settle for less. MFP even adjusts my calorie intake whenever i log in my food and exercise for the day. Today it said i should…
