Perfect advice. Its nice to see someone not prescribing some crazy regime or program. I personally stick to an upper/lower split. This allows you to hit all muscle groups 2 - 3 times per week without burning yourself out.

Agree with trigden. You're not going to build much if any muscle fasting. Maybe beginner gains, but that won't last long.

IMO I would cut a bit more if possible, then run maintenance for a few weeks. Keep lifting and don't cut calories too much. Once your body get "used" to your maintenance weight, you can run a bulk session. I just believe you want to cut as much as possible, before bulking. Hope that helps a bit. Stick to one program though…

I take pre-workout supps every time before I go to the gym. It is important to cycle off of them from time to time since you're body will become "used" to it.
