Thanks everyone! I went down to 128 lbs today so I'm super relieved

Grrr we drove back home, and my weight is up 4 pounds. Tips on getting rid of the water weight? (Since some of it MUST be fat) :p

After weighing myself on a gas station scale in the evening (ya, I'm that curious to know my weight haha) I weighed in at 130, and my lowest weight has been 125.5 lbs... also, I know that's not completely accurate due to the time of day, food I've eaten, clothes, etc.

Wow! why so much water retention after a vacation?
-
Thanks! Any advice on getting back on track and keep up motivation?

Should I avoid the free breakfast and save those calories towards lunch maybe?

The nutritionist told me to aim for 1400 to 1600 calories a day. What's the quickest way to get rid of water weight??
-
I try to eat 1300 but When I eat 1600 I gain weight even with running about 5 miles daily

I'm 5'6 and try to stay at 127

Thanks! I'm unhappy because with running, all my muscles are in my legs but none in my glutes. I know sprinters have stronger glutes than distance runners since they use them to gain speed and maintain it for shorter distances, making it more intensive.

Have run several half marathons no sweat...run on a treadmill for 5 minutes and I die and it's miserable and boring and YUCK!!! I prefer outdoor running... trees are a distraction

There's really no such thing as "eating for your body shape." You loose weight everywhere gradually. The reason "low carb" diets seem to work is because the water weight flushes out. Plus carbs are important to fuel your workout like you mentioned! Just cut out 250 calories a day and see if your weight decreased. ( in a…

Thank you everyone! I went down to 126 lbs, a number I haven't seen in a while, so super pumped.

Thank everyone, it went down to 128 and up to 130 again lol! And I meet with a nutritionist on a monthly basis and she told me to eat between 1400-1600 to maintain... but I wish I could eat more and not worry about gaining. I'm told my basic metabolic rate is 1310 calories, and I'm at 26% body fat, and my goal is 23%.

Oops sorry guys, I'm 5'6 actually! And I've been eating 1500 calories a day and running 6 miles 5 days a week and Literally have not dropped a SINGLE pound in a month.. in fact I'm up to 130 lbs. I'm so frustrated I'm just maintaining!

Thanks everyone! I got back on track and my weight did stabilize in a week, I'm learning how to get over cheat days when I binge and I feel a lot better now :)

I'm 18, 5'6 and aim for 1,600 a day to mantain... should I work the excess calories off today with a run?
-
It was the only way I was able to loose weight plus I had so much to loose they it came right off
-
Thanks everyone! I lost the 20 pounds by running cross country 5 days a week (4-6 miles) and eating around 1300 calories. I know that sounds low, but my basic resting metabolic rate is 1330 calories and I had been trying for so long to loose that I finally put me mind to it and dropped 2 pounds a week! it'd be nice to…

Thank you! I guess my question now is how do I weight myself each day while monitoring it so that the weight doesn't creep back on?... I don't want to trick myself into thinking it's water weight and then gaining 5 pounds
-
Thank you for the responses! I'm thinking that adding strength training would be beneficial but I'm not sure where to begin. My daily diet is as listed: breakfast, granola bar (200 calories); lunch, kombucha, 5 oz canned tuna, a fruit, and salad (feta, strawberries, and poppyseed dressing); dinner, tofu and broccoli or a…

My biggest advice is DON'T GIVE UP!! I used to be 5'6 and 155 and have managed to loose 25 pounds by running cross country. I went from not being able to jog the block to running a half marathon without stopping after only several months of training. I seriously recommended it as the best weight loss exercise :)
