Its not helping me lose weight ultra fast, im steadily losing by less calories but i have noticed my waist/belly is really going down since i stopped drinking.6 weeks today, the longest ive known in my adult life, things just "feel" thinner

How much do you want you want to lose? That usually defines the time. We all have different goals, my best advice is be patient and be in this for the long haul, take ya time and come to terms that its not easy but many many folk on here felt the same but are winning .....chin up.you can turn it around

Some fantastic stories thank you.im with yous on the distractions of youth, less partying is helping, my journey is 6 weeks old and im down 6lb so its a great start, 15lb to go before June next year and the big day.Seems age is no barrier if you want it.

I get too wrapped up in scale weight, i feel sometimes ive been doing so well but then step on the scales and bang ...up, ruined.this makes sense now , still need to get my head round it and even thnking of giving up weighing myself.

No its not really pressure, in England most social situation revolve around drinking.im 50 and for the first time in a long time im eating healthy and not having alcohol

If i even have a modecum of booze it increases my appetite , theres a huge amount of pressure to drink in social situations that its hard to avoid , so my social life has suffered a wee bit , im not missing it and seeing my weight coming down faster im convinced its really helping.Its a big commitment to watch calories and…
