Hi Nancy! I was 43 years old when I changed my lifestyle back in January of 2017. I have been in maintenance since reaching my goal of more than 100 lbs loss in Sept of 2017. I have maintained that loss and actually dropped a little more since. You can do this!! Set your mind to it, make a goal with some mini goals and go…

Doesn't sound cheesy in the least. I also have issues with anxiety and getting my workouts makes all the difference in the world.

My approach to maintaining is different than most. I weighed 260 lbs in January of 2017. I loss over 100 lbs in 8 months and have been in maintenance since. I take my weekends off (from Friday at lunch through Sunday night) eating more freely, less healthy but without gorging myself. First thing Monday morning I am back to…

Hi and Welcome to MFP! MFP has been an amazing resource in my more than 100 lb weight loss journey. I would highly recommend that you purchase a digital food scale. Many times what we assume is a serving size is no where close. I also found taking progress pictures (even if they are for your eyes only) will help you see…

I shared this picture yesterday with my MFP friends. Since losing my weight, I have found a passion for trying to help others reach their weight loss goals. I wish there was more I could do to help others reach their weight loss goals. Anyway, that is why I continue to share my own progress photos in hope of encouraging…

Just updating my original Success Story Update. I continue to share my story from time to time in hopes of motivating someone who might be needing it. I visited the Success Stories message board frequently when I was losing weight. It helped me in so many ways. I have maintained my more than 100 lb loss for more than two…

Don't stress it too much... you are going on vacation to relax and enjoy yourself. You won't undo all of your hard work in just five days. You might have a slight increase, but you can shift it right back down once back home. Exercise a few times while gone if you are able... but most importantly ENJOY yourself.

MFP is a great resource! Congrats on your success so far. Keep pushing! You Got This!!

Your hard work is paying off! Keep taking those progress pictures and pushing forward and you'll reach your goals! :)

Sounds like you already know this is mental and not a true hunger... simply with you referring to it as THungry as your grandmother did. Making a lifestyle change like this takes a lot of dedication and determination, but you certainly can do it. If you know you are truly not hungry, try to find something to focus on and…

You can do it! Set your main goal and then set some mini goals to reach that 'main' goal. Get your mind set that this is what you're going to do and focus. Take a 'Before' picture now and continue to take frequent progress pictures. A photo can show you change when the scale may not. I highly recommend buying a digital…

Hi Judy, I entered in my personal info and requested the 2 lb loss a week figures. It gave me 1200 calories and I kept it at that amount through the 8 months of my loss. I should've recalculated along the way as I loss, but I did not. I only ate part of my exercise calories back on a rare occasion... like celebrating a…
