A1c dropped 7.7 to 6.5 Its taking a long time to see a decrease but it is improving. Cholesterol dropped 70 points.

My first A1C was 7.7 and 6 month's later it didn't go down much to 7.0 with metformin.

I went to a neuropsychologist and took 6 hours of cognitive testing and was diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment. Its terrifying and family has noticed the decline.

I have been keeping my blood sugar readings normal with strict carbohydrate control. But as soon as I eat even small amounts of carbs 30-40 I have 100-150 spike. Anyone have any ideas?

I have to get educated for sure. I am eating healthier but getting destroyed with carbohydrates. Its not easy. Thank you all!!

230lbs when diagnosed and my a1c was 7.7 I am not sure how they arrive at that number. That you for responding its very helpful.
