Make sure you are entering in generic or usda items instead of the user created ones. They tend to have the potassium listed correctly. Potassium isn't legally required to be listed on nutirient labels (at least where I live) so you'll find it's not accurately listed on most packaged foods. I tend to look up comparible…

I do it two ways: (1) Weigh the end result and list the portion as the number of grams. E.g. If I was making homemade mac and cheese and the end product weighed 325g, I would list it as 325 portions. When i ate the food, if I had 120g, that would mean that i list it in my diary as 120 portions. (2) Still weigh the food,…

What do you mean? What aren't you understanding?

Are you using a food scale? Most of the items in your food diary seem to be measured in cups or in pieces. I found a HUGE difference when I began weighing things.

If you open up your diary, people can give you some feedback and suggestions!

I'm from Canada. It was about -7Celsius when I walked to work this morning (which according to google is 19. 4 Fahrenheit). I find a thermos of tea helps keep me moving. it also keeps my hands warm!

Consistency. If you consitantly and accurately log, you have a MUCH better chance at being successful. I've also found it helpful to make friends and open my diary to them for feedback. Sometimes you can get really insightful suggestions from others that keep you accountable. (It is also quite validating when you have a…

MFP includes some of the micros (e.g. calcium, iron, potassium, etc. You just have to change your diary settings away from a focus on just macros. You can also look at the nutrient labels of the foods you eat and tally from there. Theres also a few of the reports in the report tab that focus on micronutrients. I try to get…

I don't track fat and carbs in my diary. I focus on minimum protein, fibre, potassium, and calcium. Most days that means i get around 50% carb-30% fat- 201 % protein, but it really doesn't matter. It all evens out in the end. Like everyone said, calories matter more than macros for weight loss. Macros become more important…

Salad wraps (either wrapped in rice wraps or in lettuce) are a good meal to eat on-the-go. You can fill them with almost anything. I also like the standard cut cheese, crackers, and veggies. Peanut butter and banana wrapped in a tortilla has a good macro mix.

Rock band, obviously...

Feel free to friend me as well! It always helps to have people to motivate you!

I tried it last year. Honestly, I didn't use the added features all that often. It would work really well if you are doing intermittant fasting or something. Otherwise, there isn't much difference from the free version. I liked ad free though.

Nuts, seeds, peanut butter, sometimes even soft tofu if I have it on hand. I also usually top oatmeal with a dairy protein (Greek yogurt or, preferably, cottage cheese). Usually winds up being ridiculously high in protein. I used to frequently add protein powder, but now I'm trying to move towards getting my protein from…

I think that advertising/media also plays a role in this. We are inundated with salad recipes in the summer, apple squash and pumpkin spice in the fall.....

Me:2 , LNS: 1...does it count if your late night snack is honeydew melon?

Totally agree. That is what I meant. Thank you for clarifying it!

Okay, so first of all - you have time to exercise. I get being busy, but it doesn't take long to fit in some exercise into your day. Very few people don't have the time to fit in at least 30 minutes of exercise somewhere into their routine. College is a great place to explore different types of exercise, so take the…

Biscuits in a veg gravy, mushroom and stout pies, mac and cheese, pirogi casserole, ratatouille, pumpkin soup, the list is almost endless. There are a lot of great vegetarian meals out there if you look for them.
